Afro -Americans

I pose this question in hopes that anonymity will allow people to speak more freely than they would in other situations.
I don't expect respect from other readers , but it would be nice to find sincere answers among the flames.
I wonder , have you ever actually said out loud to others what the problems really are?
Do you know?

What is it like to be an African American in this country that causes it to be brought up as an issue all the time. I see and hear it daily without explanation.
Please explain what it is like for you in this day and age.
If you care to , feel free to express what it may be like for others less fortunate than yourself.
I can assure you , I personally will listen sincerely and respond in kind.

Dave Matthews is from Africa, so is he an African-American?

See why labels suck now?

Better tell everyone they have no ethnicity except where they are living! Or maybe I'm middle eastern because I happened to be born when my dad was working in Oman? Hallallalalla jihad!

Egyptians are African Americans, but they would be offended if you called them that.

PC - SUB-SAHARAN-AFRICAN-AMERICAN.

Isn't it more like yippy-yi- kiyo jihad in Texas.

People who migrate here aren't usually considered African American though.

I'm not black but I'm yellow and I still cross by discrimination from time to time. It's rather sad in this day and age but some people don't know better. Life is easier to be part of a group making fun of a single or a few.

Why start this thread?

Because I would like some answers that you normally can't get in a face to face discussion.
I really would like to know what todays AA think the issues are where race is concerned.
Obviously , I don't have the incite myself , so I ask them.
It's how you learn and develop last I checked.
