Some think it is better to burn out than to fade away. I have to say the idea of living so long that you go out the same way you came in - toothless and crapping yourself, sounds very unappealing right now.

The line from Black Hawk Down comes to mind as well. "That's right, You Americans don't smoke anymore. You all lead, long, boring, uninteresting lives." Guy has a point. Rather do a header off that tower than die like most in this country will. I.E. from complications due to being a fat piece of crap that spent their days watching "reality TV" while eating cheesy poofs. That ain't living, that is punishment.

Some think it is better to aim for balance rather than settle for one extreme or another.

Usually when there is a chance, even if slight, of a mistake or something outside of my control... I like to make sure the sure result will not be my death.

Cramp, windgust, ect,... all out of their control despite their strength.
