Another option: True muslims rise up against the extremists or whatever it takes to fix this problem from within. Whether or not this is realistic, I don't know. What is going on in some muslim countries gives me some hope however.

Other than the token "We strongly condemn the actions of these terrorists and will bring those responsible to justice", what else have they really done to combat the radicals?

How long have they been saying this after EVERY attack performed by the extremists? What changes have come about because of them? I cannot think of any.

I wouldn't put my money on this horse...

I wouldn't either, at least not in the current way of muslim hierarchy and the total opposite of separation of church and state. Just another option is all.

There is no terrorism land. They hit us on 9/11, we entered a bunch of countries and gave them more reason to hate us.

We stumbled into a trap of sorts. We haven't stopped the terrorists, we've pissed them off. And we are constantly stepping on innocents, giving everyone a worse and worse impression and image of us - while our men and women die and suffer.

Just stop it already. It's over. Seal our borders and let the rest of the world burn.

That is the UN's problem. Maybe this could be a wake up call that part of the world is simply fucked beyond all hope. These people live a different life than we do in the west. We need to realize not all cultures are equal and we cant force them to be either.

The US is part of the UN, i don't get how Americans don't understand this, the UN isn't some invention that everyone but the US is a part of, it's creation was under supervision of ALL nations but mostly the US, an attack on the UN is a direct attack on all nations in the UN, including the US.

I also don't get why the fuck we invaded Afghanistan if the purpose wasn't to do anything but get a bunch of people (our own as well as theirs) killed and then leave while letting the Taliban and Al Qaueda grow stronger than they have ever been before.

Honestly, that seems to have been what was mostly wanted if i look back at how the orders have been given, to make sure Al Qaueda wins while making them grow bigger than ever before.

What a fucking waste of time, money and lives.

Don't bother, these people are so daft that they think that the UN is some foreign liberal organisation which hates the US even though the US is the strongest and most influential member in the UN.

First of all, don't make the job harder by pretending it's a Christian Crusade, by burning the Koran and by being degenerate idiots. That's a start.

Second, if you do and they attack, the UN guards must be allowed to protect them, as it is they are not allowed to and if that doesn't help either, kill them, ALL of them.

Every single one who is willing to fight is willing to die, so let them die.

Yeah, i get that and that is why i am absolutely not arguing that it should be forbidden, but they should know that there are consequences for their actions, consequences that will get people dead. I think it's obvious that we need to just withdraw from Afghanistan and let JoS set up in a stable firing position back in the UK. He can take out the Taliban in Afghanistan from there with his 30-06 "sniper rifle." Lulz.

I've run your various claims by them (like when you said you could take your SAS issued weapons home with you in the UK) and they've laughed away every one of them.

Does the "cool guy" feeling of lying to everyone here about who you are outweigh the shame you feel when a whole thread full of people call you out for being a liar?

Yea, I would assume it is against the rules for an SAS officer to go babbling on the interwebs about himself. If not then I am sure he be smart enough not to anyway. Most elite units have privacy concerns, for obvious reasons, from what I understand. That was the first (of many) tipoff for me.
