Did those people READ the Constitution?

Did you? On private property they have every right to put forth whatever message they want.

way to take an american symbol and use it to peddle your religion.

from the article...

She was the idea of Mr. Williams, a very successful pastor whose church, World Overcomers, qualifies as mega: it has a school, a bowling alley, a roller rink, a bookstore and, he said, 12,000 members.

bah, that's small time. we do it big in houston:
With a present membership of over 40,000, Second Baptist Church is one church in multiple locations. Under the leadership of its Senior Pastor, Dr. Ed Young, the church has experienced phenomenal and unprecedented growth in worship, Bible Study, missons outreach, and evangelism.
Woodway Campus
The Woodway Campus of Second Baptist Church is located on a 25-acre landscaped tract of land west of the Galleria at 6400 Woodway (at Voss Road). This campus houses a 5000-plus seat Worship Center, Bible Study facilities for all ages (birth through senior adults), fitness and recreational facilities, a bookstore, and a restaurant. Second Baptist School, located on this campus, is a college-preparatory private school, Pre-K through 12th grade, with over 1200 students.
West Campus
The West Campus of Second Baptist Church is located on a large tract of land on the Katy Freeway (Interstate 10) between Barker Cypress and Fry Roads. This campus opened in October 1999 to "claim new lives and new territory for Jesus Christ" in this rapidly-growing area in West Houston. Today, the West Campus has a 4500 plus seat Worship Center, an educational building, the Williams House for Bible Study, weddings, and funerals, and the Warehouse.
North Campus
The North Campus of Second Baptist Church is located on a 35 acre landscaped tract of land on Highway 59 North. Formerly Forest Cove Baptist Church, this campus merged into Second Baptist Church in January, 2004 to become one church in three locations under the leadership of Dr. Ed Young, pastor. The campus consists of a 1650-seat Worship Center, two educational buildings, and a Christian Activity Center that includes two gyms, weight room, cardio room, aerobics room, and game room.
Pearland Campus

The Pearland Campus is an exciting and vibrant community of faith! Theater in a church is not just a creative idea; it is an amazing opportunity for people to come together in an environment that is casual, relaxed, and familiar. Eliminate the drive time and meet new people from your own neighborhood as you worship and serve in your community!

Willowbrook Campus

See, the thing about the ACLU that people can't seem to understand is that they are firm in their principles. The ACLU exists to protect our liberties. They're not left-wingers, and they're not anti-religion because they try to keep religion separate from government. The ACLU would support that church's right to free speech just like they'd support the KKK's right to free speech. I believe there was a case in New York where the ACLU defended a teacher who was not allowed to wear a cross necklace in school.

that's crazy... how can people find spiritual peace inside of what essentially seems like a mall?

hah! Love all the DurocShark bashing about my comment.

Nobody says what they've done is illegal. But it's INSULTING that they use a symbol of our nation to support their particular religion.

Sometimes I forget just who the audience is when posting here...

you didn't bother reading the thread prior to shooting off your mouth and now you're doing a bad job of trying to cover up your mistake. just man up, accept the ridicule, and move on.
