I?m on this co-ed team and I was wondering if asking out a female team mate would be a bad thing? I mean if I get shot down I still have to play the rest of the season with her as team mate.

She is also older, well not that old 2 years older than me and we only have had two games so far, but she seems interesting.

Just do it. Don't leave "what ifs". Those could bother you for a while if you were really interested in her.

If you do it and you get turned down, your hand will laugh at you. And don't forget you have to play with your hand for the rest of your life, not just the rest of the season.

Do you all believe in the saying ?if she/he doesn?t like you for who you are, then they are not good enough for you" etc?

flirt with her a bit. Maybe be a lil cocky. Make it seem like you are busy, AND SHE HAS TO FIT INTO YOUR SCHEDULE. not the other way around. Then say something like, Im going to lunch after this, why dont you come along? that way, if she rejects. It seems as if it were her loss.

Ouch. That's harsh man.

Yea but its true. I hate justifications for things like that.

Simple solution. Ask her and some teammates to a social function, go from there.
