The losers giving the winners advice?

Yes. Advice on how to improve your party and win future elections.
They did pretty well in this one, eh?

But, 2006 could be a different story. The left is enraged right now. Just depends on if they can organize themselves or not.
As if we weren't enraged this time around...I sure was

Give it up Info, you know and I know the next 4 years are going to be more partisan that the past 4 years.

Advice to Democrats, grow some balls and go after these people for 4 years. Forget about making amends, time to seek and destroy. Maybe, just maybe you pick up some seats in the midterm elections and build momentum. Do what the Republicans did to Clinton. Poke fun at every chance, nail Bush every time he even farts at the wrong time. The Republicans have their base of Rush and Fox News, do what they would do and do it 10x harder.

It's precisely this kind of attitude that was a big factor in my decision to vote for Bush.

I don't think we're the ones who need to worry about our party going in a different direction...

"I will be your president regardless of your faith, and I don't expect you to agree with me necessarily on religion," Bush said. The great thing that unites is the fact you can worship freely if you choose, and if you ? you don't have to worship."
DeLay can try all he wants to impose religion on government. He has a mighty strong piece of paper standing in his way though that prevents him from doing just that.
Well, the Christian Reconstructionists now have people in power in the House and the Senate and they have a President that supports their agenda. Not to mention a Supreme Court that is majority conservative.

If the Supreme Court is majority conservative, why have they struck down Texas' sodomy law, refused to overturn Roe v. Wade, and upheld affirmative action? Sounds pretty moderate to me.

sinking to their level is not Democracy and Bush's ass is getting nailed the republicans are in such a idealogical headlock they aren't seeing evidence right in front of their face that their party is dead.
Hijacked by fascist greedy folk using religion as a wedge between the american people.
Dems do not need to wake up. Bush needs to prison. period.

Right gsaldivar, I'm sure you were furious at the 30 million dollar campaign to impeach Clinton for getting his c*ck sucked and lying about it. Of course you had no problem with the Republicans blocking nearly every judge Clinton tried to appoint.

The rules have been set by the Republicans. Since they made the rules, the Democrats have no choice but to play by them. When Kerry went in front of the American people after being nominated and took a passive approach towards attacking the president, the Republicans MOCKED HIM FOR IT and then launched their Swiftboat Campaign.

Again, the system of hatred towards liberal ideas and the Democratic Party has been perfected by the Republicans. They have not proven over the past 4 years that they want to work with them, so in all honesty, take the goddamn gloves off and f*ck em.

Heres some more advice to the republicans. Let the democrats defeat themselves again. They will not win the 2008 election the way they are going, so don't do anything that more fvcked up than what they're doing.

But you know, in the spirit of healing, I would like to return the favor with some advice.

Open your hearts conservatives. Here are some tips to make sure you win the next election too and to turn your party into a better one.

1. Stop being so negative. Nukes going off in big cities, wolves in the woods. Come on. Try and stay positive. Americans like positive feelings. Get with the program.
2. Stop hating. Americans are turned off by your hatred of gays and liberals. Jesus loved everyone, including sinners. Try and learn from him.
3. Accept that not everyone is a fundamentalist / born again christian. This country was founded on the idea that you could decide your beliefs. Stop trying to legislate your religion on other people.
4. Try to continue your slide into fascism. First it was the ubiquitous flag lapel pins. Then it was the black box voting machines. What's next? Silencing your opposition with force? A one-party state?
5. Stop treating poor people like lazy slobs. The average American isn't rich. Try and move towards the middle.

Conservatives, I hope this was helpful... I know I got a lot out of your advice.

I invite others to give their advice to Republicans as well...

with all due respect, democrats are the ones being negative and hating. Bush was the optomist all campaign while Kerry was the pessimist. Oh, and btw, why would Republicans take advice from the party that just got owned in the election?

I don't think it was the conservatives talking about nukes going off in big cities. Read through the election threads and it's the other way around; claiming the hicks didn't care because it was the cities that would be nuked.

I don't think it was so much the conservatives saying this as Bush made premature WMD accusations as fact, therefore putting fear in the people's minds to allow him to do whatever was necessary to get rid of this illusion of fear. Some people questioned it, others just ate it up like candy and took him for granted.

2. Stop hating. Americans are turned off by your hatred of gays and liberals. Jesus loved everyone, including sinners. Try and learn from him.
For a group that has such an intense hatred of Bush and rural dewellers, it's kind of hard to take that advice. It gives the appearance of - Do as I say, but not as I do.

I don't hate Bush or conservatives as I'm more dumbfounded by the lack of education about Bush's actions through documentaries (ex. Frontline), government reports (ex 9/11 report), and whatever other outlets of information giving clear evidence that Bush authorized sending troops into Iraq from sketchy information.

3. Accept that not everyone is a fundamentalist / born again christian. This country was founded on the idea that you could decide your beliefs. Stop trying to legislate your religion on other people.
Strawman. The Bush admin is not legislating religion on anyone. If you didn't go to church last Sunday, did you get a summons in the mail or did the Evangelical SWAT Team show up at your door with warrant in hand?

Your statement is hyperbole. I'm agnostic and I have seen no indication of religion being legislated whatsoever. Stop with the scare tactics and fearmongering.

Gay marriages. Of course it's controversial, but not giving rights/benefits to two people who love each other as much as when a man and a woman love each other like Kerry wanted is not a legal reason (based off his religious beliefs that such an act is sinful).

4. Try to continue your slide into fascism. First it was the ubiquitous flag lapel pins. Then it was the black box voting machines. What's next? Silencing your opposition with force? A one-party state?
Saying this is like claiming the liberals are advocating a free fall into a moral abyss where gays will corrupt your children, STDs will proliferate, and we'll all be stone-faced, babbling, drug addled losers. It's more scare tactics and fearmongering.

Such scare tactics and fearmongering as Bush's "mushroom cloud?" That's like....a super-hyper-nova-bole

5. Stop treating poor people like lazy slobs. The average American isn't rich. Try and move towards the middle.
Stop treating rich people like self-centered bufoons who are full of greed and avarice.

...Both can be true, both can be false. Everyone's different. Tax cuts to the rich doesn't exactly help the middle to lower class though. If there's evidence disproving this, I'd like to read/watch/hear it.

Conservatives, I hope this was helpful... I know I got a lot out of your advice.

Your advice was about as helpful as teats on a boar hog.

no colorful, generalization for me. I thought it was interesting
