Before you guys shoot the messenger over the content of the ads - Anandtech sells its ad space to a broker, who then cycles the ads through. Sometimes a more shady vendor won't flag their ad correct, and so we'll get a banner for a Free iPSWii60DollarWalmartGiftCard asking us if we want Sanjaya to be the next American Idol.
I imagine they're in the process of correcting this right now.

Speaking of ad content, I just got cycled in a banner for Match.com or something along those lines with some woman in a matching leopard-print bra-and-panty set.
