I had two Guiness drafts after work before driving home this evening. With my size, two beers has about as much effect as drinking water for me, though a blood alcohol test may say different.

ok.. well realize that not all cops are nazis and out to get you... unless yer noticeably drunk, it really wont matter... cop pulls u over for something else entirely (obviously.. because yer drinking doesnt affect yer driving at all at this point right?)... smells beer.. asks you if you've been drinking... you honestly say yeah.. i had 2 beers.... not a couple.. not a few... but give a number... yer gonna pass the sobriety tests just fine... so.. whats the big deal? cops generally dont go right to the BAC test.. cuz they dont have reasonable suspicion or whatever

I remember when I got pulled over late at night once coming back from a get together with some of my college buddies, I must have had about 3-4 cases of beer cases and bottles in the back seat of my car. I was so lucky the cop let me go. That was before the time that they really start to crack down on DYI, must have been about 20 years ago I guess.

Krystal can be dangerous when drinking. You could spot the cops following people from Krystal on a regular basis in college. I once had seven people in a Maxima leaving Krystal at 2 in the morning. A cop followed us for miles.

You need to clarify. I make sure to cut off drinking at least 2 hours before I'm supposed to drive and I've *never* broken that.

You know, i used to think the fact that 4/5 students at my school drive sober was sad. This is just pathetic. If you people are gonna go out and drink, atleast have the sense to not go out and drive afterwards. your good time is not worth my (or anyone else's life):|

There should be mandatory punishment of seizure of your car. I am book marking this post to bring up in the future regarding the morality of those that said yes if need be.

You do realize that the body only metabolizes alcohol at the rate of .0015 per hour? So, let's say the legal limit is .01, and you're an average sized male. Six to eight drinks (depending on the time span the consumption occured) would put you at about .014, which means that even after two hours, you're still legally drunk.

Never have, hopefully never will. I've walked home (drunk) from way the hell down on South campus (in the snow) rather than even ride with a drunk driver.

*If you went to OSU, you'd know what a walk from the SW student off-campus area to your dorms in the NE area is.

Whaddya mean? I voted no, totally honestly. It helps that I'm underage and take medications that'll never let me drink. But I'm honest!

(I wouldn't anyway, just too many statistics, but you get my point?)

No, probably because a) I don't drink, and b) I don't have a license yet. lol

Don't be surprised at how many people drink and drive - as a general rule, everyone I know that drinks has done so and then drove. A lot of people do it a lot of times. And you don't have to FEEL drunk or even tipsy to be legally drunk. Illegal blood alcohol content for people 21+ is .1%, but I'm not sure how many beers that translates to.. it's not a lot, I know that. BAC for people under 21 is 0.02%, and although I'm not sure how much that is exactly, I know it's less than half a beer. Basically that allows for people who, say, are on cough syrup (the recommended dosage, that is) or something.

I can't believe the amount of people drinking and driving. Wow.

I'll be sampling some alcohol this sunday (when I turn 21), but I won't be driving, and I most likely won't be getting drunk either. Obviously, I never have before either.
