My TL would run circles around a 325. And I'm talking new, not used. A used TL would of course be less.

Your TL couldn't even TURN a circle around a 325i. :p
And when did you take your test drive?

The TL has a 40 foot turning radius. That's what I was getting at. Ever notice how difficult it is to maneuver in a parking lot? An '04 Suburban has a turning radius of 42 feet. I mean, come on.

that sounds like a lot. what does a normal car have for a turning radius, like my saturn?

Most FWD cars have a poor turning radius due to all the weight being in the front of the car, and the somewhat limited range that the wheels can physically turn due to the engine compartment packaging constraints. My old RWD Volvo could turn a circle in 29ft. A BMW 3 series can do it in 34. A Porsche 911 can do it in 34 ft as well.

Edit: A Saturn Ion's turning radius is 34ft.

bah. It's a luxury car....

Yeah, but when you compete with BMW, there isn't a margin for error.

LOL......like BMW is all that perfect!? I think not. BMW reliability=straight to the pooper

Funny you should mention that, because Car and Driver just did a long term road test involving a BMW, a Volvo and a Lexus. BMW was the cheapest to maintain over time, Volvo second cheapest, and Lexus the most expensive.

Still awesome for me though.

As I recall, Honda extended the warranty on the tranny for the 2000-2003 models. I'm not sure if it was transferable though.

Ah OK, gotcha! It never bothered me though. I had an Explorer before I got my 2000 TL-S though, so that could be why.

Who cares about Lexus and Volvo? We're trying to compare Acura and BMW. Acura owns any of those companies just based on great quality and reliability.

You mean Honda owns those other companies? And Toyota\Lexus has been ahead of Honda\Acura in reliability in recent years.

And you know what else? Every European car comes with free scheduled maintenance, but Acura doesn't. That's some crap right there.

If you get a new TL, get an A-Spec version, 6-MT with an LSD. Really takes care of the problem. If you have an '03 S-type Automatic, like me, then drive your Honda like, a Honda, and you won't run into any curbs.
