Acomdata 1TB Puredrive External Hard Drive - Now OOS.

if i'm not mistaken, isnt this a 1tb drive in an esata shell? doesnt that mean 9 cents a gig?

I dunno. I was looking to spend ~$100 or so on a 500GB drive and came across that. I wonder what brand drive is inside it?

And with shipping, its about 9.7 cents per GB.
 
Hmm, price mistake maybe? I think I might order one. Some of the reviews on Newegg say it's a Western Digital drive, not sure which one specifically, it also doesn't come with an esata bracket or cable.

As long as its not a Maxtor i'd be happy with it.

I won't have an extra $100 to play with for another week...I bet they will be sold out in a couple hours when people start waking up and seeing that price.

Or....they will correct the price. Probably meant to have it at $189.99.
 
Anybody gotten any sort of confirmation yet? Been a few hours since I ordered and still no word from Outpost, which is unusual.

When I set up my Outpost account, my email address was screwed up...I haven't figured out how to change it (only option is the login email, which is correct)...so I never get confirmation emails.. 😱
 
its not really out of stock and no one is getting confirmation emails because they have all been canceled they came in this morning and found the mistake and they set it to out of stock in 2-3 days they'll repost it at the regular price this way they don't have to sell a single one at the discount. trust me i know .... good times

I got a confirmation email at 9am after placing my order around 5am. Guess I'll wait till Monday and see if it actually ships. Thanks OP :thumbsup:

Same here. I ordered around 6 and got the e-mail at 9:30
 
My status says 'order being processed' - if yours was canceled, does your order history say that it's canceled, or do you just get an email?

Mine is in process as well, got the conf e-mail at 7:30 this morning. I actually just bought an external enclosure and a 500gb WDGP drive a few days ago for around the same price, so if it does go through I have to turn around and get rid of those. But double the storage would be worth it, thanks OP.
