Motion to add windows update to the title...took me way to long to figure out what this thread is about.

I just finished my install and my version is now 17134.1. Asus AISuite3 has stopped working and CS had to reconfigure itself but otherwise no issues.

Via Windows Update, there's already a 25.8 Mb update KB4135051 to version 17134.5.
Note: @WZorNET on Twitter usually has the updated Windows build details before others have it.

WU isn't showing me anything yet and I've tried it twice since updating 3 pc's and it doesn't show in the MS update catalog if I search for it by name. I've read that you have to be on an insider build to be offered the update.

Edit: I found some links here.

WU will start rolling the build out May 8.
I am on build 17134.5, got it last week via the insider program.

Windows Update just downloaded and is installing the 1803 build now.

Fingers crossed that there's no issues........

Now that was a long update. I didn't time it, but I think that took longer to do than when I first installed Windows 10. I have a 960 EVO, so usually the updates are pretty speedy. Three restarts later (and a very long wait after entering my password to get logged in and to the desktop), it is done.

However, the only thing I have noticed so far is it removed Homegroup, added a Edge shortcut to my desktop, and changed the appearance yet again of menus and such. I'll probably have to mess around with it more to see everything.

Well, I was somehow chosen for a bleeding edge update to 1803 just now.

Afterward, I am able to log into only the local account from which I initiated the update. Two other local accounts can not be switched to, even though they are still shown as "other accounts" in settings. The only other account I can switch to is an Azure-administered Microsoft Business account. I tried adding another local account, and cannot switch to it either.

Not good! :(

I am wondering for those who have installed the latest version, does it still reset all the privacy settings back to defaults and you have to change them back to what you had before?

From what I can see, all my privacy settings stayed the same.

Another thing for people to do after they get this update is to delete the Windows.old folder it creates, which was 33 GB for me.

True dat and it was one of the first things I did after it installed. Today my last machine was offered it via WU so MS is rolling it out pretty fast.

Kept all my settings, and all my tweaks as well. Although it did bork the Nvidia GPU drivers, just like the last update did.

And for those wondering, Classic Shell still works fine too.

I had to reboot again after first boot up to get Avast working, since it disables it on install and first boot to desktop, only thing I had to change was disable fast boot up ( which I prefer disabled).

Everything working ok so far.

1803 installed fine on my Phenom II 1055T system. No issues. Nice and quick install, around 15 minutes on my Samsung 850 EVO, but that is after the updates had already downloaded in the background. OS feels very responsive. No performance degradation with the new version.

On my slow Pentium SU4100 system, Windows Update doesn't even seen it yet. I'm going to try forcing an install using the ISO though.

Excellent point! I had thought I had lost some space. It's only about 5.3 GB for me though.

Using the local ISO on an external USB drive took about 100 minutes to complete at that Pentium SU4100.

Interestingly, using this method when I logged in after completion of the install, I got a splash screen welcoming me to the new version of Windows. However, with the other install on the Phenom through Windows Update, I never got the welcome splash screen.
