That is part of my question above - but the main part is, in order to use any secondary Internet connection, you still have to be running the overseas connection, and you will be paying for that.
When I am in Europe, I usually connect to the Internet via T-Mobile or AT&T. In South Africa I used a satellite link. I access all my email, financial, brokerage, and forum accounts, etc. directly. Why go through a secondary connection?
And, . . . you are wrong about GoToMyPC not being able to access the Internet on Computer when connected from Computer 1 via the Internet. I just did it. On my Vista machine, I got on the Internet and accessed GTMP. AFter entering the correct login and access codes, I was then seeing my XP machine on screen. I then selected IE8 and got on the Internet from the XP machine. Yes - it can be done. But why? I was already on the Internet and could access anything from laptop that I could from my Desktop. ???
Maybe the answer is to have all the necessary software installed also on your laptop.
Oh yes - where exactly is the webcam? Laptop or home system? Have you considered GoToMeeting - also by Citrix? (GoToMeeting.com)
