I have a MSI Neo2 Platinum that I'm trying to overclock. I am unable to change the Hyper-transport ratio at all. As soon as I select it in BIOS, it shows nothing in the values box, and the system locks up tight. Pressing page up or page down, and plus or minus has no effect. I have to shut the system down to try anything.
Now if I use the included Core Center software, it appears to overclock, but I see no mention of the HT ratio, so I don't know whether or not it's being changed. The software will only go as high as FSB 224, and then the system locks up.
So, I've got a system that I can't do what I want to with it. Any ideas? System specs:
A64 3500 90nm
2x512MB Corsair TwinX PC 4400 (using CAS 2.5 4 4 8, also tried 2.5 4 4 10 )
MSI Neo2 Platinum (Bios v1.4)
Antec Trupower 550
BFG 6800 Ultra
W.D. 74GB Raptor SATA drive (in slot 3)
2 IDE DVD/CD-R drives
