Here is some pics of my brand new system as well. Wow, even though mine was expemsive, it still seems kinda drawfed by yours, looks like there is another comp in my future.
why are you crossing your fingers on the hx 620 for your rig?Originally posted by: boglwe
congrats, I just spent very similar amount you did, but I needed a series box and new monitor. Good luck with the build, that would be fun as hell to build.
please clarify what you mean about the intake/exhaust fans. do you mean that your 2 x 8800gtx's are blowing air out of the case, or are you talking about some of your case fans blowing air out of the case just above the 8800's?Originally posted by: tweaker2
*update*
i'm now in the process of assembling the setup, of which i have a question for those whose wisdom i seek.
the 120mm exhaust case fan is about 2.5 inches away from the heatsink. there is room for the heatsink fan on both sides of the ultima90 heatsink.
should i put the fan on the same side as the exhaust fan and pull the air through or put the fan on the other side and push the air through toward the exhaust fan?
i'm asking because this is the first time i'm using a heatsink/fan that flows air perpendicular to the face of the cpu.
otherwise, the build is comong along nicely. i like this 832 stacker case very much. but man this case (along with all the parts installed) is freak'in big and frick'en heavy.
i got five 120mm fans installed and i'm thinking i should lash the case down to the floor before i fire it up for the first time or it might want to go for a cruise down the street. two of the fans are not an inch away from the sli 8800 gtx's sucking air out the side of the case (or should i make them blow into the case?) for a total of three intakes and two exhausts (out the back and out the top)?
sorry for being so vague.Originally posted by: bryanW1995

You wasted your cash BIG TIME on feeding the kids, man. You could"ve just gotten some third world kids instead and they feed themselves from age 5 workin in sweatshops. And paying the mortgage is WAY overrated - just get a box under a bridge and tap into a streetlight for electricity (just make sure that pcp&p psu works on 220V). 2 bad you wasted ur cash l0ser.Originally posted by: tweaker2
the timing of doing the build now rather than later was i had to make a choice between either buying the stuff now or feeding the kids for the next few months and paying this month's mortgage on the house.j/k
