Update:

Found another dealer that just got a White 1200S that's getting put together tomorrow (apparently the White one hasn't been as popular). The other dealer I have been working with called me today saying if I order one I won't see it until end of June/early July. So if I can get a good deal under MSRP I think the White might end up winning.

Where do you live? Dealers around here are getting a steady supply of them. The one closest to me has a red 1200 S demo and a red 1200 for sale and about a month ago they said they presold the first 7 that were allocated to them. They are expecting the first white one sometime in the next week or so and they didn't seem to think it would be any trouble to get me a new red 1200 S (not their demo bike).

Hell, they still have a new Monster 1100 EVO on the floor.

I'm in Denver, CO. There's really only two Duc dealers around (Fay Myers and Erico Motorsports). No 1100 EVOs left, they have a couple of Streetfighters 848, but the ergos are too ridiculous for the commute I have to do for work.

The Streetfighter 848 is a really fun bike, I've ridden it a couple times and had it overnight once (Ducati dealers can be very generous). Honestly, I would have bought that over my 1100 EVO in a heartbeat if it was available at the time.

My commute is just under 70 miles round trip but I really haven't used my bike for commuting much in the past year.

Yeah this bike will be used a lot for commuting (and being a hooligan :D) that's where I prefer the extra comfort of the Monster over the Streetfighter

White it is! Put the deposit down and negotiated to 17k OTD! They went 1K under MSRP. I'll post pictures once I get it.

Nice. Looking forward to the total teardown-painting the frame red-and the wheels green-for the full tri colore look thread.

Ugh.

Like others said, if you're going that route (ugh...) then it may as well be red.

White looks infinitely better on that bike. Red is probably the worst color when mated with lots of gold(ish) anodizing. Plus the red frame is icky.

The frame and tank colors on the white look great, and are a better contrast to all the little neat speedracer colored bits of the bike.

I'd immediately PC those wheels to match the white paint. You'll curse every time you have to clean them and immediately after you're done cleaning you'll smile at how sexy it is.

The thought has crossed my mind to PC them red when it's time for new tires. However, I'll probably just leave it alone.

Congrats man! Looks good!

Nice to have another Monster owner on the forums. :)

Tuesday can't come soon enough :D

Looks awesome.

Thank you!
