Going to a crawfish boil this evening. Mmmm.

Do you "suck the head"?

(come on, don't play coy, you knew this question was coming)

Stop talking that way you're turning me on.

had some mardi gras day

you wouldn't happen to know the optimum intersection of oyster season and crawfish season, would you?

i think oyster season is almost over

This is about it, depends on what the weather is like.
Supposedly the crawfish should be really good and plentiful this year since they opened the spillway last year, but who knows after Gustav and Ike.

Friend told me they weren't small at all. 🙁 We'll find out.
hey, maybe I was just unlucky, I'd never bought crawfish from the place i did, although I did buy a couple gallons of unwashed shucked oysters from them a couple months ago for a party and they were very good. The crawfish were small and I didn't like their boil...too salty, not spicy enough and full of lemon for some weird reason. Still, not terrible for my first crawfish of the year.

They were small. 😛 Good though.

I never developed a taste for the mudbugs.
I can eat a pile of the little critters though...I just wade in and let the carnage begin...but just the tails.
you folks who suck the stuff out of the heads...well...I'm gonna leave that where it's at. 😛
