So, any ideas how I can get out of my current situation... like... immediately?

A bank nearby has winder teller positions available... my mom said that she inquired for me, but was told that I would never be hired if I had bad credit (so I didn't bother applying).

A friend of mine, a month or so ago, told me that there is an IT job opening where he works, and he is one of the 4 people that decide on hiring people... I got a call tonight that he couldn't hire me because I failed the background check... due to poor credit.

I think I'm going to go get a credit report. I know that it can't be good... but damn... I have had a reasonably good couple of days (another rather large financial institution may be interviewing me... but now I doubt it's worth it because of my credit).

Damnit. Why do I even try. Two steps forward.... three thousand two hundred seventy-eight steps back.

<edit>

As usual, I overreacted a bit. heh I need to learn to not do that. 🙁

I just checked my credit... I didn't pay for a credit "score", but I got a full credit report... yeah... I'm thinking that my friend was perhaps making up an excuse...?
