Inception IMO is one of the best movies...ever!

So here is what I think happens in the end. Cobb is still dreaming. Why?

*spoiler*

Because he missed the synchronized kicks. He is still asleep while the van is in the water. You see everyone else wake up in time for the kick, but you never see Cobb wake up.

Since he misses the kick, he is therefore stuck in the dream.
 
Best movie ever? More like most hyped piece of crap ever. And I went in ready to love it too.
 
Watch the movie again and pay attention to when he is wearing his wedding ring and when he is not. That tells you what is reality and what is a dream. It also tells you which of the two the ending is.
 
He is still asleep, but that's because he's still one level under for the entire movie. His wife was correct trying to tell him that but he didn't listen.
Any thoughts on Blair Witch?
 
You're missing the real point of the movie. Whether he is awake or dreaming is irrelevant. Leo is Keyser Soze, which is the real twist.

Idiot.
 
Only thing really matter is that he saw his kids faces and reunited with them.

Inception is good but Momento is better.

I'm seriously glad internet forums weren't around in the 80's. I didn't see Star Wars until my mother got it for me on VHS in 89'. Back then if I posted a topic on one of the oddities or nuances I wanted to discuss about the film it'd be all "1977 called, they want your topic back" and shit. 🙄 Who the hell really cares if people don't always see a movie just as they come out. with matinee movie tickets going for as much as a month of unlimited Netflix some of us wait a while.

They said that if you are stuck in Limbo, you are stuck indefinitely. In other words, it can be whenever when you get back. He does die (in his dream) and does end up in Limbo (with the asian dude). In order to leave limbo, they have to die in Limbo. It sounds easy, but when you are in Limbo, you do not know the difference between reality and fiction, so Cobb has to convince the asian dude to die. However, remember, the only reason why they cannot kill themselves to wake up is because the sedation is too strong. That said, they come out of it when the sedation wears off. They do not need the kick because the characters are dead in the dreams as well.

that is atleast how I saw it. But it really does not matter. the whole point is that the guy does not give an F anymore.

The quarter or whatever he spins at the end keeps on spinning. He said in the movie he knows when it's not a dream because it stops spinning

Otherwise dumb movie which borrows from some 80's b movies

It's been talked to death by those that did see it when it came out and they aren't interested in rehashing the same conversation again.

It's less about making fun of them for being late seeing the movie and more about not wanting to have a carbon copy conversation a year later when it's easy enough for the OP to just do a search.
