Hey bigbigsavings - you might want to add the disclaimer that Office Max coupons state, "This is a one-time offer that applies only towards your first order at www.officemax.com between...."

Also, both the $25 off of $100 coupons are coming-up as $20 off $100....

Has NEone else arrived at OM to find they don't have any?

I had to maneuver in front of 350 lb woman to get my name on the list, and she was hustling too! Wow, I hope this thing is worth almost getting crushed.

Just to be clear:

1. Purchasing these items online will qualify for the rebate?

2. Printing out the online rebate form will be ok?

I just spoke to a nice CSR that said that all online purchases qualify for the rebate.

Can you use that rebate form to buy both the modem and CD-Rom. It says ONE rebate per person, and to check the box for the appropriate rebate.

on the website, it says FREE after rebate. if you feel paranoid about the deal, then print out the page now with it saying that and file that away with your photocopy of the rebate. if the rebate gets rejected, then go to officemax with your photocopy of the rebate, the printout from the website today, and the rejection letter. officemax will refund you the money in that case, unless they want BBB, etc down their throat.

I was a little confused too. I got the modem and he cd-rom, got home, looked at the rebate form and it says one per person. I almost drove back to return the peice-o-crap modem...I almost didn't get it in the first place 'cause its hardly worth the sales tax

BUT if you look at the index on the first page of the OM MIR Rebate Directory, it says "up to $74.99" under the rebate amount which obviously means you can do both. I think I'll be checking both boxes and sending for both rebates on the same form. And by certified return-receipt mail :)

I'd say send each rebate separately as the form has you check a box for which rebate you are applying, and it says or, ie. #50 or #51. So send one marked for 50, another for 51. The mail receipt is a good idea, I always use it on any rebate for $20 or more, it costs $0.75 at the Post Office for this.

Went to office maxx this morning and got on the list with like 50 other people. They said there was no telling when they would get some in as ALL the stores in my region had sold out.

I called in my phone order at 12:00AM on 3-11-01 to make sure I would get it. Received it 3-13-01 by UPS( free del. ). The CD-ROM works well but is noisy. One of the problems with these rebates is the requirement of ORIGINAL cash register receipt.
CD-ROM- They will accept a copy of the receipt.
Mouse- They said they need the ORIGINAL receipt ( Officemax just gives 1 copy of the pink form with UPS deliveries ).
Bic pens- They said they need ORIGINAL receipt ( guess I'll go to battlestations over $1.49! ).

Copies of the receipts or print outs of your email confirmation or of the final purchase screen should be fine. I spoke to a CSR who told me that internet purchases qualify for the rebate. You can call the CSR though and ask for extra originals to be sent to you.

Has anyone installed and Benchmarked this CDROM? I have and the results are extremely disappointing for a 50X. Sandra reports it at under 10X consistently. Do you folks think I got a lemon?
