Just make sure you use tracking on the rebate, as I have heard that Prime Peripherals is hard to get a rebate from.
Just thought I would tell ya.

I have already received 2 rebates thru Prime Peripherals. Just follow the directions, nothing hard about it.

PS the drives are usually Afreey drives, good performers.

The rebate form for the Prime Peripherals stuff says for purchase made in stores only. OM web site doesn't carry these items anyways (although they do have the rebate form available on the site).

Just came from my local OfficeMax to check stock on the Prime 50X CD Rom.

Just as I thought, only (3)available in the store (Northern NJ)

I bought one and will try to return/repurchase on Monday.

Thanks for the deal. I was in the market for a new CD-ROM. I will be at Office Max early on Sunday!

If you are worried about if your Office Max in your area will have them in stock by the time one arrives on Sunday, then I suggest you buy it now and then take it back on Sunday and say you want to return it and buy it back. Been there. Done that. It works for me.

I actually need a cheapo PCI modem for faxing (cable modem for internet). My new MB has no ISA slots and I have 3 or 4 ISA modems around and no PCI's. :(

hope prime peripherials is good with rebates, they are the same ones that gave the 200 cdrs for free after rebate, just make copies and if you don't get your rebate call them, most places are very good about that kind of stuff

If you worry about not getting your rebate why not send it in via certified return-receipt mail? Then when your rebate form is received by them you get a little slip back in the mail. This may not make sense on small items (like the mouse) since it costs $3.74 to do it. But its a little extra insurance and proof that they received your rebate submission. Call me paranoid, but I just sent in my Compaq rebates in this manner.

Does anyone know if you can use the CDRom rebate when making the purchase online? Or is it a rebate only good for "in store" purchases?

Thanks.

All those purchases should be valid online as they were sent out to all their affiliates to promote.

As well, there are still $20 off $100 and $25 off $100 OfficeMax coupons, so if you're planning on picking up some more stuff, you can probably save more!

You might want to stay away from the cdrom deal unless you don't mind the noise this makes. I have one of these cdrom drives and the thing sounds like a low level aircraft carrier is taking off in the room when the cd spins up.

Just my two cents. Good deal though for free. :)
