I'm going to focus on the first half of the OP. You can't possibly be implying that the parents of the 14 year old CHILD deserved to be murdered because they didn't want their daughter dating an 18 year old. Secondly, you can't be seriously suggesting we take the word of one of the alleged muderer's friends that he wasn't "shady."
As far as I'm concerned, a 14 year old child has no rights whatsoever. Their parents own them. If the 18 year old BOY is in fact guilty, he deserves the death penalty.

First, I didn't write the "shady" part of that article. Second did you see me implying anything about the parent deserving being murdered? 😕

What exactly ARE you trying to say in your original post? You're giving the impression that you think the parents were wrong in denying their child the privilege of dating a legal adult, and they were wrong to confront her on the issue, by your quoting the story. If that's what you're implying, that's pretty damn creepy, with pedophiliac overtones.
How is the fact that the girl's parents were killed the fault of the "Morality Police," Republicans, or anyone for that matter? As stated by preCRT, there's no way in hell I'd let my 14 year old daughter date an 18 year old boy. I wouldn't let her date at 14, period.
When I was 16, there were certain houses that the teenagers would flock to on weekends. These were houses of other teenagers whose parents were "cool." Parents who "partied" with the kids. Needless to say, some "shady" things went on with the parents and some of the kids. I'm sure other adults here have knowledge of similar teenage experiences. The point is, this girl's parents were trying to protect their child.
So, just don't throw out a quote of a story like that, and say "It's all the Morality Police and Republicans fault!" without clarifying.

Sure, why not 😛 If memory serves, the guys in my senior high school class who dated freshman usually dated airheads, and a few ended up becoming prospective daddies before graduation.
First of all, I live in Lititz......this all happened 1-2 miles away from me. I heard Police Helecopters all day yesterday while I was working outside.
Second, I was 18 when my girlfriend (now wife) was 14. I can relate to the frustrations of the parents setting rules to protect their daughter, but if I were in their place (and I may be some day), I would have done the same thing. Sounds like the girlfriend in this case was rebellious, but we won't know more details until they are found.
Third, to blame this on Republicans........I'm speechless. Does this forum allow you to block certain people's post, because I'm tired of weeding through some of the crap posted by the ultra-liberals on this site.

11-14-2005 Gainesville Georgia Woman Pregnant and Charged With Molesting 15-Year-Old
GAINESVILLE, Ga. - A Gainesville woman has been charged with child molestation after being accused of having a sexual relationship with a 15-year-old boy.
Members of the boy's family said 37-year-old Lynnette Clark is pregnant with the boy's child and that they were married Tuesday in Dawson County.
The Hall County Sheriff's Office did not immediately return a request comment Monday.
Judy Hayles, the boy's grandmother, said she received a notice of the marriage from Dawson County because she is the boy's guardian.
Clark was arrested Wednesday and brought to the Hall County Detention Center.
Hayles said the relationship had been going on for nearly two years. She said her grandson and Clark's teenage son had been close friends and that he spent many weekends at Clark's home.
Now Hayles said she is working to end the marriage.
"This marriage is going to be terminated," she said.
Georgia law provides an exemption to age requirements for marriage when the female applicant is pregnant.
