Just an FYI, I've spoken to many Germans (a group of enlightened Europeans if you will) about this issue. Their word for it is Abtreibung.
Anyway, even they think our policies on third-trimester abortion, including partial-birth abortion, are completely inhumane. And if you polled Americans about third-trimester abortions, I think you would find that close 75% or more disagree (poll).

And I will part with this bombshell: We all have a choice. That choice should be whether we have sex or not. If sex is forced upon you, that's a different matter. If you can't accept the responsibilities of parenthood, you shouldn't be having sex.

This issue is not black/white, zealot. You are a simpleton if you believe that this issue is simplistic as you state.
Although it saddens me to see babies getting aborted especially in later stages, the choice is the mother's alone. It's a choice made between the mother, the doctor, and God/Allah/Buddah (if she is religious).
Killing children is legal according to the Supreme Court. I don't know why it stops being legal the moment the child is born. I think parents should be able to abort their children until at least the age of 2 since the whole issue is convenience for the mother.
Babies cannot talk/make their own decisions.
However, an idiot 15 year old can. And FTR, I didn't support the shooting, just felt all the blame shouldn't be brought upon the old man.

Plain and simple. As said, there are only a few cases in which I can understand why - a pregnancy that threatens the life of the mother, etc.
Think of it this way. A mother who is say 2 months pregnant is mugged and stabbed, which causes her unborn child to die. Would you want the mugger charged with assault with a deadly weapon, or murder?

What I want to know is...when does the US Constitution start protecting our rights to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness? And when does it stop?

But baby does not have the same DNA as her mother. It's NOT like cutting off a finger or unwanted scab.
The embryo is not living on it's own; it requires the mothers support in order to survive. Therefore, the MOTHER has control as to what she wants to do with the baby. Therefore, no, it is not murder. It's her body.
It isn't the mothers choice. How can any sane person say that it's up to her if she wants to kill a child? She already made her choice.
She decided to risk pregnancy, which has consequences and responsibilities. If she doesn't want those responsibilities then she should abstain from sexual relations or make damn sure that there are two methods of birth control being used. Abortion used as birth control is just sickening.
It's much funnier to hear people react to the risk of having a controversial discussion topic than the actual discussion of the issue.
Abortion is good because people don't want their babies. You shouldn't abort your child if you want it. You should either abort it (at the right time) or go through with the pregnancy to put it up for adoption. If you are sentimental about your child, you obviously belong to the former category.

Well obviously it's sickening, but so are many things that are legal in this world. It is still the mothers body, and while you may find it sickening, it isn't your right to judge. I don't agree with using abortion as a birth control, but I don't agree with a lot of things.
That's bullshit.
Next time you require medical assitance in order to survive...maybe you shoouldn't get any.
The mother made her decision already. She decided to have sex and risk getting pregnant. That is the choice the mother has. Not a choice to kill her child or not.

Well, what you say are choices made by a person. If I take an extreme stance, why not make sex illegal unless you are given a license from the gov't?
