Go for it. There's quite a strong following of people who love or at least respect this board, and for the price it isn't a bad deal considering how well it generally seems to work compared to the competitive more expensive options.
On the other hand, don't expect to get the rebate back before 4-5 months, apparently.
I bought my first from Newegg with the rebate, and the second for a family member from buy.com for 75 but no rebate... more expensive, but also no hassle with the rebate which is worth something in my time / stress. Your choice.
LINUX is working great with my other P35 chipset motherboards, so I think you shouldn't have much compatibility problems if/when you run it (judging from your nickname).
I suppose the BIOS generated ACPI tables' quality might be a question relevant to LINUX suspend/sleep (maybe it's fine, IDK yet, didn't try) but it is hard to find a motherboard by any vendor that totally gets that right.
