ABIT IP35 CPU temperature huge difference in Windows & BIOS.

Just got ABIT IP35 and have been running for a week now.

I noticed that ABIT EQ utility reports the CPU temperature is around 23C to 25C at idle. However, in BIOS the temperature is always over 30C. Why is that, why such a big difference? And which one is correct?

Both are correct. BIOS reports full load temp.

So you mean whenever we are in BIOS, the CPU is always full loaded?

Yup...CPU at 100%, but not as heavily taxed as Orthos or S&M's heat.

I believe all boards run at 100% in BIOS. If you use the Beta BIOS, then the Abit EQ CPU temperature will be the same as the Coretemp temperatue, within 1 or 2C.
