so far...

3dmark2000 32bit mode
166:414 = 15862
167:419 = 15876
168:421 = 15932
169:424 = 15973
170:426 = 16023
172:431 = 16139

and still @ cas2522 😀

...and still going cause im getting 1.69v under load :Q (1.71v idle)
i might make 175fsb 🙂

If he gives it up....hehe 🙂

I'm very happy with mine, can't wait to see what it'll do on this new board...😉

172:431 is all shes got on 1.71v.
tried 173:346 and it still locks up in 3dmark2000.

hopefully my XMS will hold out this high ~ aint worth losing a cas setting for 1-2fsb...

Duvie? SuperCK? you guys seein this? :Q

Mikki ~ temps are a little higher, but the temps are wrong anyways so... as long as it dont reach 67*C and throttle im happy 😀 (remember they are a good 12*C higher then an Asus board)

Yeah, that's annoying that ya can't get an accurate/true reading of temps/voltage, but like you said, as long as it isn't throttling....🙂. I'm not gonna mess with my stock hsf on this one, I'm going straight to my Swiftech. 😉

Hope that XMS holds up too, if your's doesn't, mine definitely won't.

Good luck!

the XMS already knocked me down to 2728mhz 170:426 🙁 (cas2522)

ill be getting this dialed in for the next day or so ~ keep an eye on my sig for my progress 😉
ill post final results ~ but here's my benchies right now...

3dm2k 32bit = 16027
3dm2k1 = 12891
x-isle = 134.2
quake3 = 239.0
ut2k3 flyby = 169.3
ut2k3 bot = 72.8
sandra mem = 3246/3143
sandra cpu = 4799/1810/3583
sandra media = 10827/13759

not bad for a $131 cpu eh? 😉 🙂

Oh, that's not good, my XMS will probably do a bit less....:frown:

You've got your money outta that 1.6a and then some!!! 😀

"wire mod" testing...

memtest86 (all 11 tests, 5 hour loop)
cas2522 passed upto 170fsb 4:5 426ddr 😀

Mikki ~ nope never, its bios flashed to 320x714 (same as all my threads)

<EDIT> prime95 knocked me down to 169fsb 424ddr cas2522 ~ still very good tho 😀
ill "loosen" the cas settings to find this cpus "Granite Bay" potential on 1.71v 😉 🙂

🙂... i see thugs went for the U
424 2-2-2-5...
have you tried going 2.5-3-3-7 to see the increase at same clock speed?

but that's nice...just cause this damn P4B533 wont' let me run it at 3:4...and wish i had 4:5 here...

yep ~ ill be looking for max cpu speed next 🙂
no more voltage tho ~ ya hear me? no more! 😉

on granite bay our cpu/voltage will probably be our only limiting factor... :Q

Oh well, it didn't boot this morning. I doubt I'll rip the whole comp in parts just to wire the Cpu, so I'll probably rma the whole board.

I didn't think so, that'd be nice to finish this thread off at the end--->give us one last score with system and card maxed...:Q

cas2522 passed upto 170fsb 4:5 426ddr
wow, that's awesome....the board's really letting your stuff shine, y'know? 😉

prime95 knocked me down to 169fsb 424ddr cas2522 ~ still very good tho
Very. No disappointment here...🙂

ill "loosen" the cas settings to find this cpus "Granite Bay" potential on 1.71v
o boy.....😀

wire it ~ youll be missing out on an awesome board 😉
(it only took me 10 mins to do it ~ its simple)
if the wire mod is this boards only flaw ~ i still give it a 10 out-of 10 😉
(wire mod gives 1.63v default on this board ~ a very safe voltage)

thx Mikki 😀

True, only if I didn't have an Alpha heatsink bolted through the holes near the CPU. I tried upping both mem and cpu voltage to the top, but it still doesn't cold boot every time. The other people who had this problem with IT7 have tried pretty much everything but nothing seems to work. Some boards just have this prob and others not. Now I'll just have to hope the new one I get is ok.

im using an alpha ~ i dont need to remove the board to remove the HSF.
...and i do it quite often too 😉

you dont need to cleanup the cpu but cleanup the heatsink.
the AS on the cpu is still good, just add a tiny bit to make sure its all even again.
(plastic baggy over finger works well here)

🙂

you obviously replaced the factory washer w/ the old 'lock washer and nut'😉
nice move (what a royal pain when one of the underneath factory nuts gets unscrewed)
