In my opinion, this isn't as bad as their anti-Asian shirt.

Yeah, the Asian one was pretty bad...I mean, it's of course their right to sell such a shirt, but I'm wondering which marketing genius came up with the idea.

one that likes to feed on people's idiocy. I'm sure they sold WAY more shirts than if they had made it PC friendly.

Isn't this the same company that was lambasted for suggestive sayings or words on young girls shirts or something? By young I mean the under 13 set.

i think its pathetic that A&F finds it necessary to make fun of a representative of our country to turn a profit...
it's just a stupid shirt...
however, i dont think they should be forced to stop selling the shirt...

Actually, losing most of the Asian market hurt its sales.

Stock price.
It's current levels are the same as May 03. I wouldn't call that much of any progress.

Sure shows that they aren't losing money. Stock price doesn't show anything in the way of how a certain shirt sells. Maybe they lost money on a different shirt..and selling more of the non-PC ones made up for it.

good, why the hell would you try to sell a shirt like that

smd who thr fusk would buy one

Yeah that shirt fvcking sucks. I'll take drinking some bleach over wearing that piece of crap.

They are playing right into the companies hand making a big deal of it. I want that Wong shirt! Is there anywhere you can get it still?

Personally I have been boycotting Abercrombie & Fitch for..um...well, forever. Just another fad store for little boys and girls to spend too much money on trendy clothes.

He didn't say anything about how a shirt would sell. He was saying how much of a chunk the asian market makes up for A&F's revenue.

Really? You really think that? You mean to tell me that a for-profit clothing company did something to generate media exposure for their brand? FOR SHAME, A&F! FOR SHAME!

These people are idiots. The shirt may be stupid but it isn't as stupid as these wankers complaining about it.

Stock price doesn't show me that either. Are you trying to tell me that the Asian market makes up a significant portion of AF's revenue? If the stock price has held steady for the last year and a half, and the "offensive" shirt came out during that time...then it wouldn't be enough of a portion to effect their sales.

Well, in all actuality, A&F did pull all of the Asian ones off the market and apologized. So it wasn't as big a hit on PR as it could have been. However, there are many Asians that I know who refuse to still buy from them. FWIW
