Ab wheels

Nay, nay, nay. Do ab workouts and eat a lot of protein. When you feel like seeing your abs, change up your diet for a few months.

Ab wheels have been around--IN gyms and out--for decades. They are not a gimmick. A full standing ab wheel roll out is one of the more difficult abdominal feats.

I concur. I swear by my ab wheel. There is nothing more fun than a new perosn coming to the gym or a friend that comes to the house and proclaims he can do 50 crunches in 2 minutes and that a wheel is pointless. I get them to do 3-5 wheels rolls and tell them to let me know how that midsection feels the next day. It's always fun. Most everybody says they feel like they did crunches for days.

Ab wheels are one of the cheapest, easiest to learn ab exercises and they take no room at all for storage. Next to a natural crunch, I heartily recommend it. And if you hate it, it was like $5.99 or so.

Yay for me. The good thing about it is that it trains your core to prevent motion rather than create it, which is the primary function of the core anyway. It also teaches you to brace your core to achieve this effect. This is just about the same thing you need to do when you're squatting, so yes it will help you. Of course, it shouldn't be the only thing you're doing for core work, but it's a great addition.
