In Pittsburgh, where many neighborhoods have only on-street parking, if you shovel out a parking spot you normally put a chair out in it. Only people who don't care about getting flat tires and having other mischief befall their car will dare to move the chair and park there.

By law, street parking is first-come, first-served, but the culture dictates otherwise.

What kinda chair? Are we talking couch/lazyboy? If i see a chair in a spot, I am running over it and taking said spot. If you touch my car, prepare to feel my wrath! Thats the general rule in NJ.

I live in NJ also, and if someone parked in a spot I spent time shoveling out I would let them know.

Let them know...??? FYI, if it is not an assigned parking spot it is fair game.

Hmm, if you shoveled a spot for 10 minutes and someone was parked there when you got back you wouldn't be angry?

Is a fvcking parking spot. Is no one else suppose to park in it for the rest of the winter cause you shoveld it out? Get over it. Try something like putting a chair in a parking spot in a big city like NY and see what happens.

Especially if it was a F150, because I've decided that the only people who drive those are pseudo-hardasses who have really small penises.
Or mabey people that need a truck?

Let me guess, you drive a small import 4 banger and have a huge penis. Though can't get any play because you're socially inept and displace your anger on others.

I just don't get my panties in a bunch about what other people drive, or do. Nor do I make assumptions about people from what kind of vehicle they drive.

Do you even live in an area with on-street parking? It's common courtesy to shovel your own spot rather than taking someone else's.

Putting a garbage can out in your spot to lay claim to your spot in Jersey City does not help. People will just move your property and park in the spot you spent 15-20 minutes shoveling.

There should be a law about this.

There should be a law saying that people cannot move your personal property from public property so they can park their car there?

Hey, I can dream can't I? :p

Feck em. If you see my garbage can in a parking spot, and you decide to park your car there, then I am not responsible for any damages done to their personal property.:disgust:
