Maybe next time you will learn to not shout Soooeeeyyyy when ever she walked by...also might want to chill with singing "who let the dogs out" in class

She should round up though...an 89.99. She is Satan encarnate if she doesn't. Were you a good boy...did homework, not many tardies and absenses?

i didnt miss one assignment, never missed a day, never pissed her off, i liked her as a teacher, but i dunno anymore...

<< Judging from the thread heading you do NOT deserve a 90 >>

why are you judging me?? thats not right and it hurts my feelings

Kick 'em in the groin... oh wait... that won't work 😛

I like the dead fish idea... make sure it's a nice big tuna and hide it behind your back. I tried a couple of small sunfish but it seemed that the kick to the groin was still more effective on the guy...

Man those grades are high.

i finished high school with a grand total of 60%, and i was an average pupil, best of class was like 70%. Do they give points for your smile or are the exams that easy?

Aelus

I am judging you because you are whining on a public forum

PLUS you wrote a sentence with a grammatical error in a thread about
your english mark

and I don't want to hear any s%it about typing errors :disgust:

Quit wasting your time in class and get a job as a janitor.

You'll be lucky if you can with those grades.

You're a failure.

<< My mom was a pretty tough teacher, but even she would round that up! She'd give 89.5 and A, but 89.4999999 a B. If a kid complained, she'd just ask "Why didn't you have a 90 to begin with? That would have solved your problem." >>

Sorry, but I agree with this. If the number really crunches to 89.99, then you deserve that grade. Unless rounding was something the teacher/professor said they'd do before this time, then just suck it up and shoot a little higher and you wouldn't have to worry about .01 of a point.

thanks, you sound like my dad, thank you for bringing such good memories :|

so basically you are pressured from your dad to get all A's and to think B+ is failure? Let me tell you something here once you join the real world it will not matter if you got A's in school or dropped out infact it can hurt you. As you probably have no street smarts (which cannot be graded but count more than the books do in real life) and have little or no friends (It's not what you know it's who you know) Not trying to make you feel bad here but GET REAL and tell dad to kiss it!

Funny, you sound like the overachieving perfectionist (nothing wrong with that) who feels the world owes you something for nothing (that's the part I have a problem with)..

edit: yeah, I changed some words.

Come now, no matter what you say GPA does help to get into college. Perfectionist would be you already got a shot into any college of your choosing no matter what your grades and you still strive for the A. The B instead of A is gonna screw up his GPA all of what, .1? Sorry too lazy to do the math here, but what if that .1 matters later on? I'm sure most of you had those close calls back in high school when it was like 89.5 or whatever, if you did well in that class and weren't an all around asshole wouldn't you be pissed off if the teacher didn't round?

<< so basically you are pressured from your dad to get all A's and to think B+ is failure? >>

And yes some parents are like this. Keep in mind that as long as you're under his roof you're bound by his rules, and not to mention he is the only source of income ^_^

How the .01 difference affects his/her GPA and chances at college depends on a lot of things, e.g. what year, grade point equivalence, high school "bias", etc so who knows? I'm not even talking about chances of college acceptance -- I'm dealing with the issue at hand, the one of him making up a thread to bitch/brag moan about how his teacher, a "b!tch" per his/her own words, won't give him/her the 0.01 points that he/she didn't earn but somehow feels obligated to.

And yeah, I had close calls like this but it dawned on me early on that if the numbers crunch correctly, guess what, that's a reflection of my own work and was an indication of what I need to do better the next quarter or semester. Never did I get pissed off at a teacher who didn't round.

HAHA! You do realize that an A is an 80%! That means you fail, you can't get into Waterloo Comp Eng! Haha!

j/k, I know in the U.S. everything is topsy-turvy and an "A" is considered good. Not here in Canada...

Wow you're worthless... if you get any grade lower than an A+ you should pretty much end your life. You'll never make in the world with B's! What the hell is wrong with you. You father was right...time to pack your sh¡t and become a janitor.

Aelus, in the US, 60% is considered failing in *MOST* classes and you have to repeat the course. Please do not compare a European grading scale with an American grading scale.
