Hi Guys,

This is my first post...so hello everyone!!

I just wanted to see if there are any other Diego peeps in here, and what their OC's are like.

I think i have got a nice OC considering i'm only using a hyper6 and papst fan, but wanted to see if anyone has got higher?

Really nice OC:beer: Whats your best Prime95 stable O/C? What are your load temps? Looks like you got a good one. My SD 3700+ will run SuperPI 1M at 2850mhz and Prime overnight at 2800mhz which seems to be about the norm. My best SuperPI 1M is 28s

That is prime stable if i use my ram on a divider (got some hynix crap). I'll be investing in some G.Skill this week, so hopefully i'll be able to run 1:1 😀

You don't read these forums? AMD Athlon 64 has an integrated memory controller. It won't matter all that much if you run your memory with a devider.

So ur saying the diff between 270mhz and 300mhz is negligable?

Also, i wanna get some new ram coz i really have to loosen the timings quite a bit.

You really don't read? I never said that the difference between 270 MHz and 300 MHz is negligable. I said that running a devider was negligable.

Yes, i believe we was on the topic of memory speeds, and memory dividers.

Therefore, my reply was in reference to this, and i was asking if the difference between 270mhz memory (aka 9:10 divider) and 300mhz (aka 1:1 divider) was negligable.

You obviously dont read do you...

If that 3ghz is prime stable, you are the first I've seen here and on the other forums I frequent to get 3ghz on air with a SD. That is one monster chip! What's the steppings and date code on that thing? And what are your load temps.

And of course your going to have to show more than a SuperPI 1M screenie before anyone beleives you🙂 Show us a 32m SuperPI at 3ghz in the 25min range

I'll have to get back to you on the stepping. It wasn't hand picked - just came from overclock.co.uk.

I havn't checked load temps yet....idle is 25-28 which is amazing compared to my previous prescott!!

I'll get right on that 32m one tonight....check back in about 4 hours 😉

Nice OC, but christ on a stick man put in a warning for work unfriendly pics. 🙂

OOPS! Sorry man, forgot about my wallpaper.

I'm so used to seeing her every day, i think nothing of it now! lol

I agree you should use dividers. Memory performance will be lower, but overall system performance won't budge. Remember A64 is not bandwith starved; Should you use a divider, you may be able to get higher clock frequencies.

My point, exactly. Thanks, Aenslead.

Its a baest on synthetic. I would not imagine how it would fare on multitasking scenarios, like the ones Anand uses. I have used a couple of laptops with such processor and find nothing out of the ordinary, performance wise.

bump for some SuperPi32m results

With such a low voltage, i would think 3ghz may be a possiblity @ 1.56-1.6v

Good luck!

😀

Yeah, I did a mild overclock to my 4000 san diego (I case you haven't noticed I'm lazy as hell) and I have liquid cooling and I'm running my cpu @ 2.9ghz. I love this chip. Does anyone know which x2 core is basically 2 san diegos? I think it's toledo, but it might be manchester. I'd like a dual-core sli rig, so any help would be greatly appreciated.
