Just click the poll...need no real comments...

make sure it is something stable and reasonable for air....

We had someone in here recently who said only 2% of winchesters clock to 2.6ghz so I want to see......

Do s754 semprons count for this, Duvie? 🙂
Mine is currently sitting at 2.4, and is waiting on a DFI.
If you'll accept my vote, I'll have to vote when I get to finish overclocking.

2610mhz
I bumped my board from 250 to 280 to 290 fsb today, so far it has passed superPI, prime95 with flying colors. Burning dvd's right now no probs

I just built an A64 S754 Newcastle, ASUS K8N E Deluxe. I haven't touched the Vcore yet and it's just over 2.6GHz. Prime stable for two days now.

only winnies ppl.....

This is suoppsed to be a study of the 89nm process....

right now it is 9 out of 28 or just shy of 33% making it to 2.6ghz....far above 2% but this is pretty early....

well since 1.5v is safe for most all and easy to cool with air I would vote the 2.6ghz one...I am not just looking for deafult vcore ranges but at where most ppl would conceiveably run them since they bought them to OC!!!

I actually clocked my 3200+ at 2650 and passed 16 hours of Prime, but now it's not stable at those speeds anymore. I'm sitting at 2500 right now, making sure it's stable.

How did you lose stability??? Did you change something?? Or are you showing us degradation??

45 votes so far...not bad...I think we need to double that to be a real good sampling....

I thionk the sweet spot can definitely be set in.....NOw if we were really looking at this scientifically it would be nice to hav eother data like mobo used...ram used....etc....GIve more of a hardware x-section...

good first start though...

Winnie 3200+, 2.6Ghz @ 1.5v with XP-90, OCZ PC3200 Plat 2, 260FSB 1:1, 2.5-3-8-3 1T @ 2.7v on MSI NEO2 Plat.

Idle is 39, full load is 50 via Everest.

Thinking about backing it down a little due to temps...sure is quick though.
