But I suspect that there is no one out there listening to the cries in the night.

yea i know but im gonna keep at it anyway

Give these a try:

Dark Theme #1
Dark Theme #2

The second is a little darker than the first. I don't really like the orange visited link color but I couldn't think of anything better so went with what was in the screenshot posted earlier. Also icons get a bit messed up around the borders with the darker colors

ok stupid question

in opera how do i load it as a user script?

Opera needs scripts in the ../Opera/scripts directory with a .user.js extension

When you click the 'load user script' button on userstyles, you can just file/save as right to that directory and it should work.

yea so doing that just buggered up opera, so that any page that had white on it was now black, i prob messed it up but had to do a uninstall/reinstall of opera

and i dont have a ../Opera/scripts in probram files/opera

works in FF

i dont normally use FF 🙁

Sorry, forgot you might have to set it up first.

Taken from Text

To enable user JavaScript, use Tools > Preferences > Advanced > Content > JavaScript options, and select the directory where you will put your User JavaScript files.

Mine is C:\Program Files\Opera\scripts and i just dump my scripts into that directory
