I did that this past weekend.

3 months ago I signed up for a 6 month promo at $30 for cable and $30 for internet.

For fathers day only; local ads had $20 special.

Called up and the CSR put me on the new rate without any issues.

Yup, they are pretty good at doing that.

I, personally, do not mind comcast. If we had fiOS, i'd probably give that a shot though.

That's before all the fees Comcast adds on. I have the good ol' $99 for all 3 comcast services, but that balloons up to $140 after franchise fees, taxes, additional outlets, cable boxes, etc.

I have $67 a month for extended basic cable, 12/2 internet and digital phone for life. The guy offered to me after I said I was moving from Verizon.

There was nothing deceitful about what she did. She is a single mother. To many she would be considered broke. It was the reps choice to use what power she had to pull a few strings and help her out. I'm glad she's saving ~$50 a month. Nice job =)
