Pitcher ran up on him with the ball and he slapped it out of the glove just before the tag.

God, you bunch of cry babies. Never saw a collision at home plate before? Whath te hell do you think the runner is trying to do when he slams into the catcher. SHUT UP! You are morons if you think this is cheating. If so, pleae pull out hte rule book and show how it is cheating.

wow showing your ass again are you? this is like the 1802839th time this week!

when a catcher is blocking the plate he's in the runner's path. the runner has to get to the base through the catcher. therefore he goes through him and hopefully knocks the ball out to score. there is no chopping of the hand of a guy outside of the base path trying to make a tag. two completely different things. you obviously have the smarts of the blonde co-host on some show last night who knew nothing about baseball but said the same thing, except she asked because she realized she had no clue.

go trolls! go trolls!

Get over it Sox fans.

You guys call us Yankee fans fair weather fans but you should speak for yourselves. Where the hell were you guys when the Yanks were up 3-0?

Sit back and enjoy the games and stop being so freaking bitter.

not all of us Bosox fans gave up hope when the yanks were ahead in the series, I've been watching every game and I still think that sox will take it in game 7. Momentum is a big factor when both teams are this exhausted

Sure seemed like a lot of you guys did though.

The only guys I saw in the ALCS thread were the guys you normally see like SP33demon and a few others. Now that its 3-3, all the former crybaby fair weather Sox fans seemed to come out of the woodwork.

Its been a great series so far yet you bitter Sox fans never seem to enjoy the baseball part. You always focus on all the negativity and Yankee bashing. I'll bet if Ortiz did what Arod did, you'd be heaping praise on him just like when Arroyo drilled Arod then Tek proceeded to facialize him. You guys are the biggest spinmasters.

so because i don't go into the acls thread i'm not watching the games?

and wtf are we spinning? if if if, the point is ortiz DIDN'T do it.

I'm neither a sox fan or a Yankee fan. But I would like to see teams that went without winning a world series in decades win. Hard for me to say since the Red Sox are filled with more jerks than the Yankees.

Who are these jerks?

Let's see:

Pedro for throwing at people.
Schilling and Damon for talking trash before the series even started (I don't like any players that talk trash, leave that to fans)
Redsox ownership for calling yanks evil empire and asking for salary cap while they spend a lot themselves.
Varitek for starting a fight.
The entire team for looking like a biker gang.
More fodder from the official AT Yankee troll. Why bring up things from the past that have already been discussed only a gazillion times? Why don't you ask the real question in the present:

How does it feel to be a Yankee fan, whose team is the laughingstock of the nation right now? Giving up a 3-0 lead to let your arch rival force a never been done before game 7, trying to cheat to win because you can't buy a hit, and throwing debris not once, but twice onto the field and having 30 NYPD in riot gear line the field? Inquiring Sox fans would like to know.

yeah i thought having the cops in riot gear on the field was real classy, but a perfect example of what it means to be a yankee fan.

Don't care, it is part of the game, the Umps did a great job catching it so all is good.

what has manny done to be a jerk? I'm askign this out of ignorance cause I havent heard anything bout him other than he hates talking to the press, but he has gotten better with that this year

real classy of them, cops uniforms shoulda had pinstripes. And the same thing happened in Boston 5 years ago so i guess both teams are guilty of needing the police at one point in time. Just is funnier that it happened to the yanks cause they are always talking about how classy a team they are.

What's worse? Throwing balls on a field or having race riots because you lost?

ahem, i mentioned the previous incident in my post, not all our memories are short. And dont try to bring in even more old news. Do u have any fresh arguments? Things that havent been discussed and argued about for the last 5 years maybe? I'm talking about here and now, and how the yanks seem to be falling apart. Not about 5 years ago when the sox screwed up.

Anyone catch that quote about Sheffeild saying RedSox were nothing but a bunch of characters? I heard it on the new, but i cant find it.

I was replying to SP33Demon's post.

edit: How are the Yankees falling apart? They were outpitched and it took 2 games into extra innings for the Sox to win? That's falling apart? To me, that's just good baseball.

Anyway, I gotta get back to work. We will see what happens tonight. Later.

I dont think he meant it that way, I remember him saying "they are a buch of characters" but not "they are just" makes a difference i think. And i think he meant that they are a unique bunch of people, they are all pretty much different than each other and some seem crazy. The yanks all fit the same mold and that works for them i think Sheff was trying to say that the Sox are all different people and thats what works for them.

Of course i could be tottaly off my rocker and Sheff could have meant they are all idiots but whatever.

I was basicly referring to their lack of recent clutch hitting, and lack of hitting in general yesterday. Jeter's couple of errors/bad plays which are unusual since he is a clutch playoff palyer. And no matter what u say giving up a 3-0 lead to a 3-3 tie is falling apart

Us RedSox fans may be bitter, but dam, if I was a Yankee fan now, i'd be really bitter about the fact that Bellhorn was the one that hit the homerun.:D

Ok, I put my flame suit on, now flame away.....

Well, at least Boston fans had something to be pissed about... Offerman was borderline out of the baseline, and the ump had to make a tough call. This one was cut and dried though. I bet NY fans who were throwing sht at the game are watching SC now, groaning in disbelief...

Mm, just like Sheffield calling the entire Red Sox team a bunch of "actors" trying to be a baseball team. BTW: What is the exact quote of Damon and Schilling's "Trash Talk"?

Redsox ownership for calling yanks evil empire and asking for salary cap while they spend a lot themselves.
EVERYONE calls the Yanks the Evil Empire, and we spend 2/3 total of what the Yanks spend, they spend a lot, but have nowhere near the figures of the Evil Empire.

Varitek for starting a fight.

The entire team for looking like a biker gang.
Get real. Sorry you can't drool over them like A Rod and Jeter

Hey hats off to A Rod for reflecting negatively on your team as well.

heh i really dont hate either team. both have some great players (matsui has been great. but sucked last night).

Though A-rod is a cheater. He should have just sat down and kept his mouth shout. I have some respect for what they do. But when they cheat? bah fvck em.

I'm just pissed the cubs are out of it. BUT man it has been a great series! hope game 7 is even better!

A-Rod is stupid. He should have slid into first base with his arms in the air, knocking the ball out of Arroyo's glove. At least make it look like an accident.

actually what he should have done is knocked him over. The pitcher was in the path to the base. A-rod could have hit him with a shoulder and been fine.

But he reached out with a hand and knocked the ball out. dumb move.
