A relationship observation that may get me in trouble (I may be turning into Michael D)...

I'm feeling bold today. Don't hate me. ;)

I'm 21 years old, and throughout many of my years, I've witnessed various relationships between men and women. It seems that in *every* relationship I've watched, a few things show themselves.

First, the men are whipped. Badly.

Him: "Let's go meet Bob from work at the pool hall"
Her: "No"
*later*
Her: "Let's go meet my sister at her house"
Him: "I don't really want to..."
Her: "You don't ever want to do anything I want to do, you don't love me anymore, why don't you....."
And so on for a good four hours before the guy gives a generic appology, seemingly not sure of what he did wrong.

Second, the women demand unlimited bitching access to the guy.

Her, just getting home from work: "You've been on that computer for at *least* an hour, come talk to me"
Him: "Ok"
Her: "My day was just so hard, first I was drinking coffee and putting on my makeup, when some asshole started flashing his blue lights at me..."
And so on, about how the world owes her something, life isn't fair, people aren't nice anymore, no one at work knows how to do anything, etc

Third, the women spend money like it's going out of style.

Her: "Oh, I got a present for Bobby, that's our neighbor's godson. He got an A on his report card, I also saw these cute marble figurines for $140 each..."
And so on.
Him: "We need a new CD-ROM Drive"
Her: "Why do you *always* have to spend money? Can't we go anywhere without you buying anything?"

Fourth, the women hate computers, golf, poker, and TV.

Her: "Why are you always playing videogames/golf/poker/ watching sports/news/etc? You should spend time with me and my friends and family"

Fifth, the guy can never go anywhere.

Him: "I'm going to play GTA3 at Jake's house"
Her: "You allllways want to go out with Jake. Are you having an affair? I'm moving back in with my mother. I should have been a lesbian"

So I ask you, Anandtech, am I correct or just jaded? Have I seen the light in time to avoid a bad situation, or have I only seen the bad relationships?

All of these "observations" sound like they were based off of a couple composed of a ball-less guy and a b!tch.

Most guys are doormats. They think they're smart, but women control them. Most women wear the pants in the house. Alot of men are naive and think they make the decisions, but little do they know, women make them think that.

I have had experiences with this type of woman. I think the only reason they act like that is because they know you will give in to their sh!t.

This would be a fairly common arrangement, particularly if the chick is hot.

ehh,
By the time you're in your 30's, you'll learn that whatever she says goes in one ear and out the other... that's the easiest way. Just let her think she's in charge and she'll be happy. If you do anything that she doesn't like, apologize and claim that you just misunderstood her. Make her happy by pointing out that you're a poor listener compared to her. Then, she can "wear the pants" in the family, and you can continue to do as you please.

Hmm...my girlfriend is pretty much the exact opposite in all listed scenarios. Plus, she likes to spend her money on me.

Hmm, seems to be a split vote. I should have made a poll.

I'm not the kind of person that would deal with that kind of attitude. I don't like my life being micromanaged.

ah yes the backlash of radical feminism. dont you know that if you disagree with a women, then you are a backward sexist pig? women are just as smart, etc. as men, but for some reason most think they must now control everything because we men are just stupid, selfish morons that couldnt possibly survive without them around to guide us.

i see it at work every day where women talk of how stupid and idiotic thier men are because they disagree with them. i cant recall ever having a conversation like that with any of my buddies. the women all want to pounce on my head when i play "devils advocate" for the husband. funny men are the first ones expected to fix the car, change the light bulb, etc. when we are so stupid.

edit: not all women are like that. when you find one thats not, better snatch her up. i did. not too many fair and rational ones left, sad to say.

I'm a traditionalist. I think the man should be the bread winner in the family, and the woman is the home maker. That's how I'm going to run my family anyway. What other people do is no concern of mine, I suppose.

I am not going to comment on your apparent dislike of women and preference for men. Nor am I going to comment on the type of women you seem to surround yourself with if you've gotten the impression that your list somehow applies to most/all women. I'm too polite for that.

I'm not going to comment on your lack of insight. You're not even vascular!

Ahahaha. Good botany geek humor.

I was just trying to be funny (maybe I should have used a ;) ). I'm a woman who is nothing like the women he's describing above. I don't know very many women like that. He needs to look harder.
