it may look like he's taking charge, but with all the military officers in his cabinet i don't think that he will make any of the important decisions, he's just a figure head

If you look at the War on Drugs, you'll realize that is not possible.

the war on drugs isn't a war. if we napalmed drug fields and used massive military force against countries with drugs..that would be war on drugs.

Would you people back off of Bush for just one minute!!! Jesus Christ! Every single American's heart is quaking at this moment,

while i hope bush prevails against these cowards, this is more evidence his plans on missle defense are senseless.

..as are most Presidents. They have a cabinet for a reason: to help them make the best decisions.

Could we please knock off the anti-Dubya comments, please? I know a lot of you dislike him, but THIS IS NOT THE TIME FOR PARTISAN SNIPING!!!:|

I thought Gore was suck, but if he were President today, I would be yelling at anti-Gore posts, too.

It's time to be AMERICANS and pull together against this horrible and cowardly attack.

But they probably met in person and had not been involved in any form of electronic communication since it is very well established and known that the US has this kind of technology.

Please everyone! In the midst of a horrible attack the last thing we need to do is to disparage President Bush (or Clinton for that matter). This is not the time for petty politics!

As national security adviser does Condoleeza Rice have anything to do with working this out? Pardon my ignorance, I'm more in step with the Aussie system.

exactly. What will it be like 2 months down the road, a year, 2, 3 etc. This is going to bring a whole new level of world terror regarding terrorists and what they can do.

They are cowards for not facing their enemy "face to face?"

What is that? That's ludicrous. They may be cowards for killing civilians in a country that does not consider themselves at war, but IN WAR, it isn't about fighting with "honor" or "face to face," its about winning.

You want to preserve your way of life? You think you have right on your side? Then you damn well do what it takes to win. Period.

Are smart bombs facing your enemy? How about special ops? Where is the line?

They are fighting a war. They are fighting in the only way that gives them a chance to succeed.

<< even though i don't believe in anything nostradamus says, but i think the city of god is jerusalem, the two brothers are jews and muslims, and obviously the big city is new york, but like i said before i don't think the end of the world is coming, just some really bad times >>

I agree.

As watching the horror unfold this morning on the news, one video shot among all the destruction of the WTC and surrond areas stands out most to me . It is a video of the WTC towers after the second tower fell and in the harbor, you can just make out the Statue of Liberty still standing as a monument to the freedom that all our ancestors have given up so much for and that our generation will continue to uphold no matter how many cowardly b@stards think that they can deter our freedoms and beliefs. We WILL prevail and tomorrow will come.

For us older folk that have lived through other national tragedys, a small bit of adivce, EVERYONE can help if they truly want. If at all possible today, Give Blood! Blood is Life.

thats true.

Hell America won its freedom with guerilla fighting, which is far from face-to-face. They are cowards for attacking civilians, that is why they deserve to be slaughtered.
