What's your major? The job market here isn't as bad as it is in the USA - my bro (the OP) is graduating in computer science at the end of the year and has already found a programming job with a good company.

At my work (accounting office) we've been advertising for a new intermediate level accountant for weeks and the response hasn't been that great.

I'm currently looking at Computer Science or the likes, maybe astronomy.

We only have one major telescope in NZ and the astronomy field is very competitive, but there is certainly a lot of work for a CompSci grad.

Yea, that's what i've noticed on the research i've done. Lot's of tech jobs are popping up everywhere in NZ, which is awesome, i just hope the market stays that way for about 5 more years, who knows 🙂

If it doesn't turn out that way, i wouldn't mind visiting several times :awe:
