Here are some other pictures I took in the same session. The one in the OP is the clear winner of the day, the rest were somewhat disappointing.

10 is pretty awesome.

I wish we had mountains around here. The swamp can be beautiful, but mountains have a lot of interesting variation.

Stop that, that stop that right now! I insist that your moon traverse the sky in the correct direction! I do like #10.

It's a very good image. If you are looking for constructive criticism, it seems that it's a tad bit oversharpened at the edges.

Nice pictures. First one is my new wallpaper. Do you have the others in 1920x1080? Thanks.

That's a great picture. Really amazing actually. The more I look at it, the more I love it.

Do you know what kind of trees those are growing out of the water? They are awesome.

Very interesting landscape.

Sweet pic. I have a few from a recent trip that I want to share too. Need to figure out how to make them into different wallpaper resolutions also...esp because one of them was cropped portrait style.

GA, you take some great shots but you need to read about the "rule of thirds."
First of all, thanks for the compliment.

Secondly, you can't be serious? I have probably read more books and articles about photography than you have taken photographs. I'm well aware of the "rule" of thirds and most of my photographs respect it to some degree. But the "rule" is only a guideline, and only a novice would rigidly and unthinkingly apply "rules". If you can point out a specific photograph of mine that would benefit from applying the "rule" more rigidly then I'm all ears, otherwise the criticism just sounds like the words of someone who just learned a new term and wants to "critique" someone's pictures with it.

Jesus Christ. Chill the fuck out, doucher.

In response to your ridiculous assumptions and accusations:
1. You've read 50,000+ books? Impressive.
2. Novice? No.
3. Just a guideline? You're right. I had one sentence to work with, so I chose to use "rule" instead of "guideline" because EVERYBODY CALLS IT THE "RULE OF THIRDS."

http://www.flickr.com/photos/iamaelephant/2474846315/ <-- This picture is absolutely incredible, or at least it would be, if you hadn't cut the damn boat off. Please tell me you have a RAW file without the boat cut off, and I'll crop it how I think it should be.
5. Critique is the only way to get better, and if you can't handle it, don't share your photos. You're free to look at my stuff and tear it a new asshole. I enjoy the comments.

Now stop being a fucking asshole all the time, OK?
