A personal CHALLENGE ...2 Million a day! I mean it this time !!!

I asslaminated a new machine yesterday, except I currently have it stretching it's legs in OGR. It will move over to RC5 as soon as the /. and TA OGR-25 race goes back to the way it should be. 🙂 As for it's power, well it blows the doors off my fastest dualeron. 😀

Brad..

Adding a crackrack to my home herd. (4.2 GHZ Athlon power, overclock potential of 6 GHZ)

I must remember to bring home a dozen roses for my wife before I tell her about my new crackrack project - 🙂

I'm waiting for 1000 blocks before i flush. Getting my schoolmates to join TA RC5 too. After my O'Levels, i'd consider talking to my school IT Admin about getting the 60 PII300s, 60 PII266s to join.

denali,

As greedy 🙂 as I am for RC5, you may want to consider giving that K6-2's power to OGR...Those guys are working their butts off against /. and the K6 series works extremely well with OGR..

If you wish to keep with RC5, I wouldn't mind either...🙂

All Team Anandtech teams are GREAT!!!

My stats are up again today on work units finished. look for more increases for me has the week goes on.

poohke,

I run RC5 on my P2-400 laptop, just set the client not to run on bats and you should be ok. You will want to open it up and blow out the dust more often than normal to assist keeping the heat down.

Added a PII/450 today. It will be on 9 hours a day for 5 days a week.
Still ~500 blocks per week. Every little bit counts. 😉

I just got my TBird 1.05GHz online, plus a Athlon 600 🙂 We hope to be adding over 30 P3 450s in the near future too, so I will keep y'all posted.

Just added a K5-133 running 24/7. Also added a pentium 90 laptop running 24/7.

And *DOH* re-added the 2 Pentium Pro Workstations as I didn't know that I had to add the d.net client to the startup of the system with the owner logged in. (i.e. I did it with myself logged in and when they logged in, it didn't run!). It's now fixed!!! One of those is running 24/7 with the other running 8 to 10 hours per day.🙂

I added a Celeron 333 (i think).

The thing is, it's running on StudeNTvista. I'm not sure if it works or not. I installed it as a service, but when I pressed ctrl+alt+del, I didn't see dnet.exe thing there. BTW, I turned off all the screen out put (don't want those nosey kids to fool around with it).

Is it still cracking? Or am I doing something wrong? BTW, yes I know about running rc5 in school rules...

How do I start it? Don't have permission to open a DOS window. I used the -install command on a short cut. Should I plug that in to the shortcut (dnet.exe -svcstart) after I "-install" it?

Thanks for your help. 🙂

SSP,

If you used the -install switch and you can't use the -svcstart switch for some reason, just reboot the machine and the client will start and will do so every time it's booted up.

mikepeck,

OUTSTANDING.....*Insert Russ here* = "WE LOVE YOU, MAN!" 😀

Great job!!! We're on our way!!! 😀

Well, I'll have a dual 550-600 P3 setup coming into the action in less than a week, and, my herd will be up and running 24/7 instead of 40 hrs a week 🙂

I should nearly triple my 2k blocks a day 🙂

Thanks to all you guys who have responded the this challenge (Thanks DanC for the spelling lesson😉)....With the additional PC support you guys are giving, and hopefully a new team member or two, we can close the gap between TA and the DPC in the daily totals...

The way I see it..."If you're gonna take the #1 spot overall, you might as well keep it!!!" The only way is to perform....

And you guys have responded beautifully.....

A big thanks...🙂

We shall make it so. The 1.7M per day target will be achieved in 7 days, rather than two to three weeks. 😀

Russ, NCNE

Russ, don't make me raise the target again.....😉

Thanks....

P.S. I'll raise the target every so often once I've seen us stabalize around an average, higher daily total 😀 If I don't raise the target, you guys will quit on me😛
