Mandrill-the only time I had to deal with AOL I set the "Dial-up Link Detection" to never dial out and set the buff-in high enough to cover non-connected times.It worked.

I finished reloaded a P100 that is cracking away...I have a Thunderbird 600 coming and I just ordered the parts for a Thunderbird 1Ghz server that will be on 24/7.
 
Back again.

I added a P 200. But it didn't start automatically (also running StudeNTvista).

By the way, I used the zip file, and added a shortcut in the start up folder. Should I just use the install file instead? Will it make a difference?

I spent over $300 in two days for spare parts to build more racks. Yes I'm hopelessly addicted !!! I also tried all afternoon at work to think of the 16th machine that's cracking for me. Drove me plum nuts not being able to remember each and every machine that's cracking for me. Wish I had web access at work, then I wouldn't have to sneakernet blocks to the machine out there.

Enough rambeling!

Get your butts out there and assimilate everything you can get your hands on, and permission for! NOW !
 
Added one piece of my remote herd back in (it's my workstation anyway 😛 ) and flushed the blocks from the rest. I just wish I could bring the whole thing up 🙁

I know there are better configurations than others in RC5. I have it set to do just RC5, but can anyone linke me on the best settings for my machines? I'd like to 'OPTIMIZE' it all 🙂

I agree with DanC, I say keep the lofty original goal. I don't think it is unreasonable. If you aim for the stars and hit the moon, you will be that much better off than aiming for the moon and only reaching the sky.

Every little bit helps. Even if you were firing up a couple of P75s (which I will be doing soon 😉) We say bring it on, as everyone adds to the best of his or her abilities, and it all goes to help the team.

We can do this! As a team, with everyone doing what they can, we can do this. Don't be discouraged by those who have work herds, and seem to add more than you. Each of us can only do with what we can do, to the best of our abilities and resources. Even if you add a P75, (which can be OCd to at least 100mhz on most MBs) thats more blocks for the team, and we need every block we can get our greedy little hands on!

We can do this, so let's get it done!
 
Well, I think I'm going to assimilate my old HIGH SCHOOL. I still have admin access to EVERY computer in there. I can make it a service, and they'd never know, nor care.

Can I remotely install it, or do I have to install it from the machine?
 
Untamo- Please be cautious, "never know, nor care" does not = permission. If you can get it, that would be a great assimilation!😎

As much as I would like to have the quad xeon cracking RC5, it would be much more efficient for it to be doing seti because of the large cache. The only problem with Seti is that requires that you run a seperate instance of the client for each processor.

You might consider posting a new topic about this and see what ther other Seti'ers have to say.
 
IsOs (by himself :Q)helped to put us in the 1.65 Million range Wednesday with his 244,000K+ dump 🙂....
