<< Heres a reason why i love the us :Link >>

I love Mexico for that reason
>>

Taco Bell is more an American creation than anything Mexican...just like the pizza you find here is nothing like Italian pizza or fortune cookies and Kung Pao for Chinese...

<<

<< Not sure what he is talking about, but he has a point though >>

Come on, that was over a 120 years ago. You Icelandic Vikings were probably buggering Inuits against their will back 120 years ago and no one holds you accountable. There isn't a nation, especially and European nation that can stnad on it's Human Rights record going back 120 years ago.
>>

Ha Ha! I cracked up when I read that :) Thanks

<<

<< Come now, there's just *slightly* more to it than that >>

no not really; any bill that israel is against the us will veto no matter the consequences
>>

That's a little *extreme* don't you think? :) Be careful, you're starting to sound like Radio Islam ;)

Why, because you say so? Not good enough Sven. It's our nature as Americans to try and be the good guys even if we don't always succeed.

<< Now why is it the US govenrment supports the Isreali's by means of funds and weapons, yet for some strange reason unless research is required will never know. That is because the US gov supports (though thet say neutral) the Isreali's with both weapons and funds. That is because the US government either one, Gives money to news stations so therefor has to say what the US gov believes or two, the few US stations that give more accurate discriptions are considered low budget and not worth viewing...

The proof is in US history itself. Reasearch Alaska and Puerto Rico. The blood inviled in both of them speaks for itself... Unless you think Hitler was a mass murderrer whom murdered a lot off millions, whom Washington makes look like mother Theresa on the American Indians. It seems like a school day picnic. You all better research again unless you are influinced by US media or teaching because history is generally written by the victors.

Makes my a shame George the mass murderer is on a dollar bill in which every American gets.

Not because I say so but because they are about 285.000.000 people in the US while there are about 6.234.000.000 people in the world. Then I ask.. good guys in whose mind? the US population or the world? its obvios that the US population is a bit more important for the US gov than the world is but sometimes it is more important to not anger 500 million people worldwide than to please 150 million people to vote for your party agan after 4 years.

That was so uncalled for because I never said I knew anything about what happened in Alaska and Puerto Rico, I even said I didnt have a clue what happened there. So take your time and read before you think of something clever to say.

edit.. fixed a typo

Let me ask you something, Czar. Has the US ever done anything good in your opinion? All I ever hear from you is how fscked up we are and how the rest of the world hates us. I mean it must be nice to live in a country that doesn't amount to fart in a whirlwind and just sit around and criticize the US. Has your country ever contributed anything? Have you? I am sick and tired of hearing from people who criticize this country here and abroad who have personally never done a fscking thing to change anything or provide security for anyone else. My final comment to you, Czar, and to everyone else like you, is to put up or shut your fscking mouth.

DaveSohmer,
Yes they have, rebuilding of Europe for example. Iceland is just as fuct as any other country(trust me), but that is internaly. Iceland does not have as much international power as the US has understandably. Contributed anything, yeah alot. Have I, yes. When someone critizes your pride you can either listen and try to learn from that or just ignore and it and stick to your pride.

The point of me critizing the US in foreign matters is because I dont have pride to get in my way of understanding both sides.

I find it funny how quickly this administration forgets its petty condemnations of Israel's targeted killings and recent occupations of Palestinian towns. They now call it an issue of "terror" when its nothing more than retaliation from the palestinians, which everyone knew would come.

The problem is with Sharon, he constantly tries to bloody them many times more than they got bloodied, as if he's trying to beat them into submission.

This is nothing but an endless cycle of escalating retaliations, and if this administration really wants peace they would not choose this time to take sides, but demand concessions from BOTH sides.

This is the third thread on the same topic. :frown:

EDIT: Oh, and the U.S. vetoed the proposal because it made no mention of the suicide bombings in Israel.

Well here's the thing though:

People talk about how bad the Palestinians killed:Israelis killed ratio is but there's something they don't say
The Palestinian suicide bombers would have loved to have killed lots more innocent civilians
The IDF would have loved to kill *zero* civilians and only the militants/terrorists they were going after :)

The problem comes from the Palestinians being too incompetent and the IDF being *too* competent ;)

It's always going to be somewhat lopsided because the Israelis have a competent military. But yeah, if Hamas could kill all of the 5 million Jews living in Israel, they would.

It's all about intent. I meant to post this the other day and didn't. The attack the other day: Set bombs off on the side of the road to disable the bus and kill people. Then they strafe the bus with small arms fire and shoot people as they try to get off the bus. Then they stop firing because they hear sirens and when the ambulances show up they shot at the ambulances.. They are sick people only intent on killing not for any sort of peace. I personally think they are probably allied somehow with Al Queda. In any case shooting at ambulances sickens me but is perfectly in-line with the character of these people. They will never illicit any sympathy from me.

Should have been around yesterday. Lot's of denials and proclamations going on. :p

2x Agreed.

BTW, how many people knew that there are about one million Muslims living in Israel?

Comparatively speaking, probably not many know. I've been to Israel twice. All total, spent 14 months in the ME. And yes, I socialized with Arabs and have had many interesting discussions. They make some kick@ss tea! Gives you a buzz..... literally. Very hospitable, honorable and gracious people once they get to know you.

Probably be safe to say that many of the people who take issue with this highly controversial and volatile subject on these boards have never even visited another country, outside their own.

I have been telling these foks that for months, but no one seems to care or understand that this shows Israel is the fair one here. There are one million Arab Israelis living in Israel with full legal equality and legal rights. Most are Muslim, a minority are Christian and other religions.

According to the 2000 census, there are about 1.15 million Arabs living in Israel, which represents about 18 percent of the population.
