It's not strange that he looks ape like since ALL hominids are apes.

This has very little information and i cannot acces the site from where i am currently at but i'll find more if i search for it, i'm sure.

I read the article about this in the WSJ. Pretty interesting, but I don't think it makes any any compelling arguments for or against religion.

I also think it's pretty interesting that we don't know if this is an ancestor or an evolutionary dead end.

Can you not read or can't you comprehend, we ARE APES, every single one of the family of hominids are apes, we are not monkeys which is probably what you meant to say but we are indeed apes.

EVERYONE of us in the speciec homo are apes, the sub species that we adhere to, whether it's neanderthalis or Sapiens Sapiens don't really matter when it comes to our definition as apes.

I have to stop and think a moment as to how to put this as belligerently and rudely as I can. OK ready steady go:

Humans are apes and that means exactly Jack shit in this discussion because the objects under discussion are nothing but apes. Every donkey knows that you are an ape.

What this conversation is about, therefore, is not apes but which of the three kinds of apes under discussion are the most ape like. See, dunce, apes are ape-like to varying degrees depending on whether they look like real apes, their ancestors, or relatives. When we speak of ape like, and are using the English language, to which I seem to pay much more attention than you, we mean morphologically shaped like a chimp an orang or a gorilla. A baboon is more apelike than a human even thought it isn't an ape and any 5 year old would classify them closer together than they would you if they were looking at anything except your brain.

So the fascinating thing the article pointed out is that this ancient ancestor looks to be closer to the morphology of a modern human fucking ape that isn't fucking ape-like and less like paleontologist had expected. They had always assumed that it was humans that had morphologically evolved while the modern apes had not. And just the opposite is turning out to be true. And that is indeed interesting if you're not brain dead and stupid.

So human apes are not so ape-like whereas apes very much are and this fossil is more human-like than ape-like even though it's fine by me to refer to all three as apes.

I find this very interesting on it's own merits, but I've already come to accept long ago that we evolved from a common ancestor especially in the light that some of us still fling poo for no particular reason.

That may be. I believe in the concept of relative ego, being unofficially defined by me as the need to have to put people down in order to elevate one's self worth. So humans often will pick something, define it as inferior, and therefore anyone who believes or considers a concept seriously is to be debased.

There's no way someone can sell me a Six Day universe. There is too much evidence against it, but regardless if someone does I don't see the need to attack them. What they do or don't think doesn't have an effect on me at all.
