Two days before the Pentathlon we produced more than 230K points/day - that means, if we get it going that we could produce some 2.5 million points during this leg of the race!

NFS is really all about the RAM. I only have one machine that can run it well. Oddly, it's my laptop. (I really need a new desktop, but I really want to wait for Skylake.)

The 16e WU's need a gig each. The other ones "only" need 512MB each, roughly. I had to turn off hyper-threading on my workstations, as they only have 12 gigs, but 12/24 cores/threads.

I tried running 2 per core for awhile, but it took longer than just 1 per core. Memory usage was about 15GB. With 8 cores I use about 6.7GB

I noticed today that my server was still happily grinding away at SETI instead of NFS so I suspended SETI and those extra 12 cores should start turning in some extra work soon. I have to hold Tony off for at least one of these race projects!

The TeAm is #1 in production today (again), beating out 2nd place by a factor of 5.3, and over 10x the points of the third place team. Taking out the 235,000 point bunker I was hiding, we still far outproduced the other teams.

Five of the top ten individuals today are TeAm AnandTech: 1st, 3rd, 7-9th.
