Welcome to AT -- what did you have on your left bicep in these pics??? Here's an example, there are a few on either side of this one.

Thanks. That's a bruise from my heroin/steroid stac. It took forever for it to go away because my immune system is really weak from all the crack. I couldn't figure out how to hide them with photoshop, so I left them up. Busted!

Either that, or I bruised my arm while doing yardwork. Take your pick.

Nice job man...

I lost 22 lbs in the past 3 months due to correct eating and more activity.

Not as good as yours, however!

I need to hit the gym and get myself toned and surpass my weight-loss plateau.

Welcome to the forum, John Stone.

Don't mind the naysayers. And you don't look too skinny. Those are envious people talking, who're trying to justify their extra weights or lack of motivation to build up and stay trim. Although I'm female and not muscular, I can fairly speak from experience that people get extremely jealous when you have something that they don't. They'll come up with all sorts of accusations, including, but not limited to, starvation or steroid or something. Ignore these comments or use them as a motivation to keep up with your shape and hard work.

I like someone who's realistic. You are calling it as it is. You do know and see that you need to work on your abs. Having the six pack look would make a perfect body and appearance. And of course you would have worn complete confidence and relaxation so you would have the attitude to go with it. Keep it up. And do ignore the too skinny comments. Trust me, you're not too skinny. You have just the appropriate frame. Just fine tuning the abdomen area is what's remaining.

You know serious people by their responses to your testimony. Serious people would look at it as a motivation to do better. I do hope that those serious people out there and here are watching. They don't have to do exactly what you did, since different formulas work for different people. But your story will always be a testimony for motivation. Congratulations again, my friend.

I only really saw one comment that didn't particularly like how he looked - most of the 'negative' comments were doubting the ability of him to do what he did. I was only once mildly accused of being on drugs from working out and it's a terribly good compliment. Somebody saying "There is no way you could have done that without drugs" when in fact you did is a great motivator :)

PS - John the pic of each day is awesome - I was scrolling down just seeing the fat slowly go off from week to week!

Don't pay any attention to these skeptics. You're on a geek forum, where most of these people hate to see people succeed, because then they feel ashame because they should be able to aswell. So they need to believe that it's either fake, or you cheated.

Truly the vast majority of the population is capable of getting very thin and nice and muscular. The difference between the majority who does not acheive this and the few who do is simply nothing other than determination and willpower. It's not genetics, or lack of time. It's lack of desire!

Exactly... look at John Stone... it really is almost unbelievable that he did all that in 4 months, but it certainly is possible, and i believe he did. Now just imagine how he'll look in another 4 months if he keeps this up.

Results like mine may be atypical, but they are well within the reach of just about everyone who has the determination and dedication to achieve them. I think Skoorb said it best:

No question about it, that statement is right on the money. People are fond of making excuses instead of making a plan and sticking to it. That's the only difference between those who "do" and those who "do not".

Thanks again for all the great comments (even the negative/skeptical ones). This looks like a great place. I can't believe as a self-respecting geek I've never found my way here before. :)

This is the real reason it must be fake, he's a geek who's never been here before.

:D

Nah. Line up the kneecaps. Those are also lower. His after picture is just closer up, making it seem like his arms and legs are longer.

Wow... John, you've seriously motivate me to do something about my weight.

Just whipped out my digital camera and it was hard to look at a picture of myself.

I guess that IS the motivation to take a hard look @ yourself.

I'm 33 years old, 5' 11" and over 210 Ibs. I was just like you when you were talking about how great you were in high school!
I was number 1 in 100 meters, 400 meters, high jump and relays 4 years in a row.

I'm tired of saying how great I WAS, where I can be great at present and in the future.

John, I hope you stay around, give me some motivation and maybe, get some advices via email.

This very well could happen. I have lost 50+ pounds over the past 3-1/2 months. My appearance has changed drastically. In 4 more months, I will look like this guy. Well, I hope to....this guy went off!!

I should document it like this geek did. :)

I know just how you feel. Try putting the picture on the Internet. Now we're talking about extreme motivation! :)

Man, you sound just like me. Not only were my stats similar to yours, I was a state-ranked (Texas) distance swimmer in high school.

I'll be around. I'm more the happy to help anyone who asks--post a message, email or PM me--whatever's most comfortable. Best of luck.

badluck: congratulations, great job! :)

John: I'm curious about one thing. Weren't you starving all the time on such a low calorie diet? 1400 kcal per day is not a lot for someone your size.
