I have plenty of class, I haven't posted a bunch of pictures of cookies have I not or directly insulted someone?

Dude, you implied that Republicans, or rather all of those that voted for Bush, are Nazis and that Bush is no better than Hitler.

Yeah, real classy

Don't mind the trolls, I think the election is finally catching up with them.

Reminds me why I usually stay out of P/N.

They're like chickens that just got their head chopped off.

Thats more of indirect is it not? Is Bush better than Hitler, did he not mislead the country into war?
You ever have a girlfriend? Bush had a girlfriend. Does that imply that You=Hitler?

I don't currently have a girlfriend, is everyone that has a girlfriend a republican? Your point is lacking in depth.

Read a book about logic 101.
As others mentioned it is akin to saying that Hitler is a man, Bush is a man . . . so OMG Bush = Hitler.
Also, if it is factual that Bush mislead the country into war is debatable, but that has already been done.

This old chestnut again?

How about something Nazi releated with some real relevance?
On 8th November, 1923, the Bavarian government held a meeting of about 3,000 officials. While Gustav von Kahr, the leader of the Bavarian government was making a speech, Hitler and armed stormtroopers entering the building. Hitler jumped onto a table, fired two shots in the air and told the audience that the Munich Putsch was taking place and the National Revolution had began.

Leaving Hermann Goering and the SA [the real brown shirts!] to guard the 3,000 officials, Hitler took Gustav von Kahr, Otto von Lossow, the commander of the Bavarian Army and Hans von Seisser, the commandant of the Bavarian State Police into an adjoining room. Hitler told the men that he was to be the new leader of Germany and offered them posts in his new government. Aware that this would be an act of high treason, the three men were initially reluctant to agree to this offer. Hitler was furious and threatened to shoot them and then commit suicide: "I have three bullets for you, gentlemen, and one for me!" After this the three men agreed.
Now, when this sort of thing happens during an election, you can post such tripe from a Nazi and give it real consideration. Until then it's completely meaningless.
Yeah, but it did sorta happen. Are you denying it did?

Yes, I am denying it just as YOU seem to want to deny that the attacks took place on 9/11. How easily you forget. Bush didn't seek this war, the terrorists did. What an idiotic comparison to make. It's almost comical how the left will seek far and wide to find some sort of negative comparison to throw at the right. You are truely the party of failure. America has to fail for you to look good. That doesn't say much for the Dems but then you really can't anyway.
One last thing to really get under your thin skin, we're called the Right wing because it's just that.....RIGHT.

Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of leaders. This is easy. You're right, the terrorists were seeking this war, and you know what? Bush has no problem giving it to them no matter what the cost, and no matter how many other countries he pisses off. Bush think's he's a cowboy and Bin Laden thinks he's an indian. It's ridiculous. Those two are gonna tear the world apart.

So, based on this quote alone, we should all agree that this would apply under Franklin D. Roosevelt's term? correct?

Good point, but we did go after those who attacked us during World War II and weren't consistantly lied too. ;)

The Germans did not attack us during WWII. And how do you know Roosevelt didn't stretch the truth to get his way?

Where did I say the germans attacked us? From our lovely public education I have knowledge that FDR didnt stretch the truth, he did want us to interviene. You could discuss about the Japanesse mini-sub and the radar system and how it was ignored... its still just a theory and hasn't been proven.

My point is that we attacked the Germans without provication. Roosevelt made people believe that we needed to send millions of men to battle in Europe when Germany was not threatening us. This is the same as what you currently believe is happening in Iraq.

If our govt was truly nazi-like, you would be hauled away by the secret police and returned to your family as a small box of ashes with the words traitor written on the inside.

Be thankful its not that way.

Actually you are the right because of the way the different political parties were placed in the french administration before the french revolution, but i'm sure you knew that.

I believe the OP has a point. Because all the commercials have either concentrated on either Kerry being a flip-flopper (i can't see why this even matters...), or stating that Kerry can't take care of this country, and thereby implying that you will be attacked if he wins the precidency, fear is a result hereof.
Not only that, but there has been lots of signs of america growing towards a mild form of fascism:
The extreme amount of flags
The very "us or them" mentality you have. Like non-american deaths don't matter, how you mindlesly follow the president into war apparently searching for wmd, even though you've heard from people actually in the country that there were none. The mass of americans that actually believe that, as they hinted in the white house, Iraq had connections with 9-11. The blind following of the presidency iow. How much the left has been attacked for being "unpatriotic," Fox is a magnificent example here. The severe lack of trust you have of ANYTHING/ANYBODY not american! What, 80% of the world hates gwb and wants him out of office? I'm one of them as you probably have guessed.

Yuo must still remember, that Hitler got into office democratically, and that he while governing actually held elections, where 98% of the population actually supported him.

The only reason you haven't turned fascist is because of the media. It's much harder to limit the amount of information the population would recieve, which is the basis for fascism. This is also the reason i think you won't turn completely fascist, and that you'll some day revert your opinions and look back upon them as being foolish. Which is also why i was happy at 9-11, because things like these usually work as a wake-up call, like in spain. But you were just to far in the process. (I wasn't happy because of the people killed, understand that.)

That'd really suck for the republicans if we had issues with astroids, considering how much the administration supports science and research in general.

You made a very strong point: There is a direct relationship with liberals having a higher education than conservaties.

What is the relationship between? Do you see that this is beyond a mere grammatcial error and just doesn't mean anything?

See, your previous sentences lead me to believe that you have a point but that you just failed to type it out correctly. However, that is offset by the fact the sentence just doesn't say anything. I am left - as I so often am in this forum - to interpret what you meant. If the purpose of language is to effectively communicate one's points so that misinterpretation is absent, then you have failed. It is ironic that this takes place in a statement meant to prove that you, the democrat, are the educated one and I, the republican, are the unedumacated one...

My eyes glaze over and I move on when I see the word Nazi and Neocon. Two of the most overused terms around, and always coming from a left wing bomb thrower. I like reading desenting opinions or debating an issue but this stuff is neither.

Really? I am sure some everyone has made plently of grammar errors. Einstien had problems with math, was he a dumbass? Again, you don't attack my quote you attack something else. You attack my grammar.

Point taken.

Naturally, the common people don't want war, but after all, it is the leader of a country who determine the policy, and it is always a simple matter to drag people along whether it is a democracy, or fascist dictatorship, or a parliament, or a communist dictatorship. Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of leaders. This is easy. All you have to do is to tell them they are being attacked, and denouce the pacifists for a lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. It works the same in every country.

Lay off this guy. He is hurting bad from the loss and needs to vent his frustration. I like to think I wouldn't have turned like a mad dog that has been cornered if Bush had lost, but we're all human. We can take the attacks without responding in kind.

No, wait... I'll join in. Let's assume:

Our leadership is Nazi-like
Our public is stupid
I am above it all
And anyone who disagrees with me on this is blind

<<shivers>> I think I need a shower now. I smell of intellectual sewage.
Heh heh. That's actually the gist of this thread.

I think it can be closed now...
