I dunno, JIB has a gooooooood Sirloin burger--essentially it's steak but of slightly less quality and grilled--and it's good.

Although In-N-Out is definitely good.

The reminds me of the 4 hour lines when the Krispy Kreme opened in my hometown. It got down to a normal rush three days later and now its almost always empty.

i remember that.

Every new place is always crowded the first few months. even if the place sucks.

we had a Taco Bueno open up just a couple months ago in the same town as OP's JITB. I don't ever remember it being busy, even (read: especially) the first day

The day Taco Bueno opened up it was pouring outside, I remember because I went :D

Wait they opened a Taco Bueno in corpus... hahaha

Umm... not to go off topic, but is your windshield cracked?

Yes, as has been already covered by Capt. Caveman.

So did somebody throw a Jumbo Jack at your windshield?/

Their Jalapeno Poppers (whatever they're called) kick a**
Every other place that sells them (fresh or frozen) have zero spice, but the one's from Jack's have a small bite to them!

WELL FUCK! The op posts a Jack in the Box opens and I just found out the one here closed!

My wife was out shopping and when she was finished called me up (5min ago) and asked if I wanted something to eat........ I asked her to swing by Jack's and pick up 6 of the Jalapeno poppers. She agrees and we hung up. She calles back soon after and tells me the windows are boarded up and they closed! WTF!

That place was always hoppin'! First Blockbuster closes and now Jack in the Box.

Oh well :(

No question Whataburger is better than JITB. No question at all. With In-N-Out being the king of the hill.

Never had in-n-out, but Whataburger is > *. I can see one in the damn picture too, I would've just gone and eaten there :p

Possibly as much effort as the people did waiting in line for fast food.

I am not sure who to make fun of first.

A few pictures of the line and a google maps image edited with MSPaint does not take much effort.

Hell, a 10 year old could do that.

I admit that I kinda thought it was neat to see JITB when I moved to Charlotte, but after four visits to JITB I'm convinced that there's nothing in JITB that's worth waiting for.

I knew you were talking about Lubbock before I viewed your profile. It was ridiculous, they had to have cops directing traffic. Same thing happened when Taco Bueno opened.

Where I am, JITB is far more popular than McDonald's, the only good thing McD's has is fries, but JITB's fries blow McD's out of the water. JITB definitely has a more mexican flavor to it right there, so it's more exotic, imho.

Tim Horton's gets WAY worse than that here. But there are also 3 entrances in which people come in = 3 lines that don't move so well.

Edit: :Q .... Umm. I just saw your map. The photos don't make it look so bad. =p

why does everyone hate jack in the box?

the food isn't supposed to be that good, after all it is fastfood, and it is better than McD's or BK imo

oh and 50 cent taco's kick ass

Well, it was either that or fly a Jolly Roger from my antenna. I couldn't find one that would stay on. :(

Well, no, I gotta get inspected at the end of October.

And Jedi, it was a fight between my truck and a frozen rock two years ago.... obviously the rock won.

Seriously, it only took me about 5 minutes. Those people were in line for hours. Who deserves to be made fun of, ducci?
