A good reason not to fly China Airlines

Personally I would say Singapore Airlines, Cathay Pacific, Qantas, Air NZ, Anyone from Japan, Asiana. US carriers if you don't care for your life.

I've been on China Airlines before and survived! I didnt like it cause it was the second bumpiest flight I've ever been on.

I also flew into the new HK airport on the first day it was opened. It wasnt reassuring that a lot of their computer terminals were showing NT BSOD.

I'll second some of the airlines bolido mentioned like Singapore Airlines and Cathay Pacific. No problems with either one of them and good service back then.

i'm pretty sure air china has a better record despite all these things, for soem reason...

Here are some Airlines which will make you wonder why the airplane was invented in the first place :

1) Aryana > Afganisthani airlines which uses 2 old Indian airfocre's donated IL 86 Illushin's cargo jets refitted with passenger seats. My journalist buddy travelling from Delhi to Kabul mentioned this incident : An afghani soldier was trying to lit a cigarette while in flight. The ruski navigator smelled it and came running shouting yelling to stop it cause under the seat area was a 10,000 liter kerosene shipment. No sooner had he done this .. all the other afghani passengers who were scared sh!t pouced on that poor soilder and beat him to crap. This is their way of satefy standards. The beating was merciless and in the end .. that victim was found smiling ..accepting the punishment as a moral lesson.

2) Libyan Arab Airlines > I have flown in this .. and all I can say is a Grey Hound Bus from DC to Newark has better, more civilized crowd

3) Uzbekistan/Kazak airways : Mongols have died off since 1300's but their culture is evident here :: the main course was char-grilled lamb intestines euuuuchhh..more like Haggish

4) Alitalia > Italian secret .. always luggage misplacemnet and nasty service

5) Aeroflot / Trazair > wonder babies

China Airlines have pretty cute stewardesses like most asian airlines do. I heard they screen them for a certain look. 🙂

There's no doubt that China Airlines has the worst record among all commerical airlines.

My friend flew china airlines and on his flight when they were cruising around 35k feet they dropped 10k feet in a matter of minutes. My friend said people on the flight had broken bones and such from hitting the ceiling of the aircraft. He said he would never fly them ever again.
