So I was on campus last night at 9:00 pm comming home from a night math class, and I bumped into a friend of mine (She is 20, I'm 19). I used to work with this girl a few months back. We basically became friends right away, and I still talked to her even after she quit. I never did mention or consciously hint that I liked her, because I know she has a boyfriend.
Anyway, both of us were on our way home, and since she had to take the bus which would have been almost 1.5 hours, I offered her a ride home.
When we were in the car, she was talking about wanting to move out sometime and whatnot, so I told her that I had just moved out, and am living in my grandparents basement suite (seperate from the rest of the house). The conversation continued, then basically out of nowhere, she says "ya, you could have a girl over and have some wild sex and nobody would hear". Of course I was a little surprised by that, but I figured she was just saying something meaningless.
A little later on, we were listening to the radio, and there was a thing where you could phone in and do something stupid for to win a pair of football tickets. I searched around for something I could do in the car, but came up blank. A little while later, some guy called in and had to stick a shoe in his mouth for 10 seconds and say something (I cant remember what). So I tell my friend "See, all I had to do was stick my shoe in my mouth and would have won tickets. She replies "or you could have put my foot in your mouth"... The car went silent for a few moments.
As we were getting close to her house, we were talking about moving out and stuff again and she was talking about how "my boyfriend is gonna move out next year, and I'm not gonna live with him, but I'm gonna be there a lot, if I'm still with him."
So I drop her off at home and say goodbye and will see her around campus sometime.
This has been bugging me for a while now. I don't see us as anything but friends (I never hang out with her, just talk when I see her). The conversations never seem to be akward at all and we usually say a lot of dumb stuff.
Is she hinting at something? Am I just trying to see something tha't isnt really there? whats going on?
