i had an old motherboard with 3 Dimm slots and the second one just stop working all of the sudden. it doesn't create any major problem since I plan to upgrade anyways. just wanna see if this is a common thing or not.
 
Recently I had an Abit NF7 that would not operate with the 3rd Slot nore enable Dual Channel. Used it for a year and when I upgraded I, RMA's the Mob 🙂...Also I've read where some Mob's will not operate with all banks filled, although this is not your Case, just keep on trukin and plan for the future 😉
 
Had an early P4 mobo with 3 slots. After a couple of months, one slot died.
Had to RMA the board, which is still running fine.
