It says on the ad, "1 day sale" 7am-10:00pm" . Get there early because it is going to be a zoo out there and the good stuff will probably be gone in about an hour or 2.

I went there... it was cragee! All I got was a case, but that's all I really needed.

Oh, and I was really happy when I found that my car hadn't been towed. 🙂

just stopped by the sunnyvale fry's ...
they make us get in line around the building just to get in and spend money ....
needless to say i cancelled my shopping plan and delay it until later today ...
(fry's sale is until 10 pm when they close)
hopefully they will leave me some wacom tablets for my bro's bday present.....

if you're thinking about going to palo alto fry's, forget it. it's a madhouse. must have been at least 200-300 people in line for the cash registers. the line snaked all around the store, up and down aisles, you couldn't even walk through the place. they ran out of the usb memory keys, which is good, because i would have hate to have waited in line.
 
I just got back from the Burbank, CA FRY'S. I gave up! I spent an hour in the check out line and only made it a third of the way. When I left the fire department was there and wouldn't let anyone else in. What a mess!
 
i got the maxtor hard drive w/ ram combo, and the free burner.. my bro got the same! woo hoooo fry's rule , best buy sucks
 
I officially hate Fry's now! Especially after they cancelled my order because they didn't have it in stock.

Why did I bother giving them my credit card if they didn't have the drive in stock?

 
I was there also at palo alto fry's. It was a mad house like aircasper said. I think it's even worse than he said. Line and line of people. I saw a lot of people grab just anything that free. Hopefully, they know how horrible fry's rebate can be.

Anyhow, a lot of rebate forms ran out. And we were asked to fill in the form to get it in mail. (Right, i'm gonna trust them to send me one) Here is some of the rebate form i found.


For the 80 gb Maxtor

For 10$ portion of 15$ free after rebate webcam

Actually, that are the only two i have. I'll go back later today try to get the rebate from different fry's.

Unless... some of us have other forms to scan and post them here.....

Same thing happened to me at Fry's this morning... they ran out of all the rebates and i ended up filling out forms too.

Got some questions though...

1. How is everyone getting $50 for the Maxtor HD after rebate?

$149.99+TAX-$30-$50=$69.99+tax to my calculation.

2. Where in the Fry's ad does it say I get a stick of PC133 256Mb ram?

3. Where can i get my Go-Video rebate?

I know this isnt a WANNA thread but some questions.

It's $129.99 - $80 = $50.

If you are in their B&M. Bring it to the computer dept and have print the RAM order out for free. They have the SKU there.

I think it's going the same address. So, i am gonna photocopy the upc and put it in the same envelope.
 
i called up the phone number on the rebate forms and the lady said just send the original upc with one and a copy with the other. hopefully this means that they are aware of the issue.

Anyone know if they just had limited stock on the Maxtor HD and USB drive? Would it be too late to head out to Fry's (Fremont) now.
 
HELP ME! MY NEWLY BUILT COMP DOESN'T START UP!

I got the FAR Soyo case w/ 300W PS and the other ECS mobo and Athlon combo also at Fry's. This is my first time at building a computer, so I might have missed something. I have the PS connected to the mainboard, the hard drive, the processor fan and the CD drive. When I turn the power on, nothing happen ---- Did I miss something? Do I have to any jumper setting or adjustment to the mobo?

I just called the Wilsonville, OR store - they have the same Maxtor 80 Gig/PC133 Memory deal.

Drive is OOS, but rain checks are being given....I assume it's the same for all products.

Heading out now for a "leisurely" shopping experience. 😀
